I've been measuring the sizes of shields in OpenBRF, which I thought would be the hard part. I'm having trouble modeling those sizes in game.
From what I can tell:
In-game Shield Width is 2x the value of Length stat given in item_kinds1
In-game Shield Height is Length stat + Shield Height stat given in item_kinds1
So if I have a square shield in OpenBRF which measures 60 across and 90 long, I have to give it a Length stat of 30 and a Shield Height stat of 60? Does that make any kind of sense?
Is there any documentation on how shield sizes are represented in game?
