Simple suggestion, give those guys a shield, even if it is a worn or battered one.

I like Vlandia and that would be really nice. But it would be to good considering Vlandia is not supposed to have heavy armored low-tier units.They have the best rangers you can get from recruits and giving their infantry shields on tier 2 would be to strong.
Hi sorry to but in, I believe the problem are bows, to deadly makes troops without shields easy pick even if they are heavily armored.
There's a system about damage types like Pierce, crush and so on. But bows at least to me are too powerful.
Note not that I'm against it, some imps could use it too.
