Sharp Bronze up for grabs w/downloads

Some of you may have followed the development of my mod Sharp Bronze. It is an attempt at a conversion to all anceint Greek equipment, map, and characters. Unfortunately I have become burned out on the idea, and my motivation and interest are failing. Also real life has reared out its not so ugly head (in the form of an impending child  :mrgreen:) and I cannot forsee having the time to continue work on my mod. I have offered to turn it over to Dwinny who was working on Sharp Bronze with me. But he has not responded. I hate to see the mod die and all of my work go to waste.

So, I am offering the mod publicly to anyone who is willing to continue the work. Whether it is in the same, or different direction, I would like to see the premise fullfilled under the name Sharp Bronze. Alternatively all of the weapons, horses, armours, helmets, shields etc. will be posted for anyone who wishes to use them, with proper credit (and a PM to make me feel cool for contributing).

Please someone take this off my hands so my uncountable hours of research and modelling do not go to waste.

models n stuff  (updated March 17, 07). And most models and textures have been updated from released version. Also has large new map without towns

This is the download with a playable mod that I hope to be worked on by someone. (sorry no python stuff, it was done in UE). includes most models, and all of the content I had managed.

I already have much of your stuff.
And I have begun redirecting the Mythology mod to a more reasonable approach, through a series of mods and mod add-ons. First I will be focusing on Greece, in the time of the trojan war. I could sure use all of your stuff, though I wouldnt really count it as continuing sharp bronze.

Hey, it is good of you to post them.  I wish more people did so when they run out of time or steam on their mod.  That stuff will be a lot of help to a lot of mods, I bet.

I hope so. Should I post the source files? Some of the models can be exported as they are, but some turn very funky. Also, the .dds's seem to be blacked out because of the alpha channels (could just be on my computer), while the tga's are not and the alphas are accessable for editing.

Congratulations for your baby, hopefully he will turn into a fine Mount&Blade 11 modder (or a doctor, lawyer and stuff).  :smile:

Chilly, by "in the time of the trojan war" do you mean you're doing the trojan war or your doing the late bronze age? Just curious, and I do of course look foreward to it. I will try to help out here and there if I can and you want it.

My intentions are to have a small map focused on Greece and western Turkey. 2 factions, the Achean League and the Kingdom of troy (you gotta better name tell me). The mod will start through the two kingdom's constant warfare, I NEED to have naval combat or the map is pretty much rendered useless, I heard that Yoshi was modifiying his naval system for WaO but I've yet to ask him. After getting to lvl 10 or something, you can go to Myceanae where Agamenon will ask if you want to go to seige troy. Yes, and you go through a series of scenes and battles etc. I havnt quite decided what to do afterwards (cuz they prolly wont make the first version) but I intend that once the Greeks take troy, the Trojans turn into the Kingdom of Lydia and Myceanae turn into Argos. So it will be mostly the Trojan time, and mized with classical time. So throughout the seige of troy you will see hoplites fighting alongside Dendra Ponoplay warriors.
 
Uh, in SB_armours.brf the bronze mucle and cuircass armours are assigned to the material "mucle thorax". Which doesnt seem to exsist. Along with the two torney armours and their material "SBtorneyarmour" which also doesnt seem to exsist.

Any help?
 
:oops: oops, looks like I forgot to include the musclethorax dds, I'll get made and that reposted tonight. Try respelling it "SBtourneyarmor", I think the other was the texture name and not the material name. If not then I'll include that in the update. Still working on the chariot, I don't know if I can cure the funkyhorse.

I'm getting some errors using the SB content for the 300 / Thermopylae mod. If I try including all of the content, it complains about there being no /Textures/minotaur.dds. If I remove all minotaur-related stuff from the game (just in SB_armors.brf, it seems), I get errors complaining about there being no /Textures/sbhelmets2.dds_0.dds, and if I copy sbhelmets2.dds and rename it to this, it just asks for sbhelmets2.dd_1.dds, and will keep doing so as I copy and rename the file ad infinitum.

What am I missing? I've been able to import the other content that I need, though, with no problems at all, and I'm just lacking helmets for the mod.
 
Oops! Just delete the minotaur material and texture leftover in the SB_armors.brf. I'll reupload it.
