Have you guys not yet realized that they're heavily, heavily implying that you need to be using the same computer as the permission-giver to play the games? And by using the same computer, they don't mean having it installed, they probably mean having the Steam Guard authentication files for the profile on your computer.

Im not entirely sure whether im truly following what you are saying.

It seems rather clear that they are speaking of several devices and computers, so im guessing you are talking about something else when you say "you need to be using the same computer".

They don't imply that at all. It clearly says you can enable sharing on ten computers at once. The stuff about being kicked off if the owner of the games tries to use his library also pretty well eliminates the possibility of it having to be the same computer.

Well, now everyone can play my Castle Story prototype. That's interesting.

I'll share games with people. Got a library of 354 games. Might as well make us of it.

So if the real game owner is online, we can't play his games?
No. Read it again.
You can play it as long as he doesn't start up the game you're currently playing.

You can play as long as the owner isn't playing anything. If he's playing anything, you can't play any of his games, regardless of which one he's playing.

Huh, you're right. My bad.
That's kinda silly, but I guess they had to put in some sort of limitation to make it annoying not to be the owner.

Very interesting, I'll keep an eye on this.

I switch accounts with my wife and roommate constantly anyway, so why not have it in an official way.

You can get a chance to be invited to the beta if you join one of those crappy steam groups, I will see how this works out, it would be better if you could play the same game with someone in my opinion

This will be useful for me. Let friends play games on my library while I'm at school and whatnot.

But then again, playing offline would kinda solve that, no?

I doubt Valve didn't think of that simple workaround; you probably can't access the owner's library if you're offline.
