ok cheers!

So far it has been quite entertaining, but I think that the map/factions need to be redone, at least later. Some of the towns appear to be in the wrong places, and the factions are too big/too few factions. Shadowsworn should not hold that much territory, but should have large groups of trollocs/darkfriends marching about in the north. Aes Sedai don't officially control anything but Tar Valon. Cairhien and Caemlyn, etc, are their own city-states/nations, there are no 'dragon sworn' cities, really, or Aiel cities, except to the east. Baerlon is actually to the southeast of Tear, on its own tiny strip of coast.

Feral, no friendly troops engage in battles against me and my troops they only engage too much easy in battles  at my side from quite large distances and thez shouldn't do it.

Sorros, I think you you shouldn't use such premptory and demanding tone because it's only your subjective opinion. For example I am satisified with towns and factions and I think the most people too.  :???:

Feral, I discovered quite frequent but anyway very upleasant bug. Large Aiel's nation army is got stuck next bridge near village Alcruna and can't get out from here. I think it should be resolve very thoroughly because I am still only at the beginning of playing and such huge army is this way paralyzed.

I'm glad you're having fun with the mod so far. I realize the factions don't necessarily match up with any time period in the books, but at this point I want to focus on making the mod fun and interesting while at the same time placing it in the detail rich world Robert Jordan created. I felt the westlands/borderlands are the heart of the story and wanted to keep the map to that area. At the same time I also wanted to include plenty of aiel and shadowspawn to make things interesting. So, look at it as a time right before Tarmon Gai'don when the whole world is changing and things are somewhat chaotic.

And BTW Baerlon is in the correct location. I believe you are thinking of Mayene which is on the tiny strip of land to the Southeast of Tear.

Thank you for the bug catch and the image (it helped me pinpoint the location) I've added this to the list of things that will be updated in the next release. Unfortunately it looks like the next release won't be save game compatible with this one. You could always fight them... that would be an epic battle

There just terrified of crossing that much water, that's all.

Ajax

i think i found another bug. sometimes when i am in a siege for about 3-7 minutes, there is a error and M&B needs to shut down. i have no idea what that error is. if you want the error rapport that windows maked i could try to get the error again.

as far as i know, the books start at about 999, i dont know how long a year is at the WOT but i dont think rhand is going to live for nearly 300 years...

and is there something wrong with osan'gar??? i think the shadowsworn are happy without him, got him prisoner for about 30 days...

HOLY ****ING ****! NO ****ING WAY! I WANT TO GET TO KILL RAND! always hesitating and getting led around by women. OH AND I WANT TO BURN THAT WHITE TOWER AND MAKE ALL THOSE AES SEDAI MY PERSONAL SEX SLAVES!

please implement in the mod, pretty please?

on a more serious note, i'm gonna start learning to mod this game and then i'm gonna come help out here cause i really adored that series and the author. oh hey! we should send this to the Jordan community/association and show them our work! maybe even get a bit of help. i know they've wanted to make a competent game based on the series.

There already was a Wheel of Time game title, way back in the last century.

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/wheeloftime/index.html

It was a bit of a Hexxen clone, but it probably still holds up.  You played an Aes Sedai pretty much doing a solo adventure prior to the time of the book series.  Graphics were good and the story's complex.  But the books don't lend themselves well to the world of FPS.  I think this mod captures the epic feel of the battles a little more adequately than your standard FPS ever could.

ZOMG! WOT MOUNT&BLADE! ZOMG! 7h15 7074lly pwnz0rz!

*ahem*
This sounds quite good, and judging from what everyone and their mums are saying, then that means this is a good one.
I can't try it out just yet, I'm still on a trip and my gaming pc is at home. I WANT TO TRY IT NOOOW.

Screenshots pretty please, for those unable to play it yet  or you're too busy playing it?

Also, I can help with textures if needed

A couple of questions. Can companions learn to channel, I notice they have a category for channeling points in their weapons proficiencies? 2 ..Playing around with the first channeling skill, air blast I think, it always knocks me off the horse when I use it, is it meant to be used on foot only?

First I have to say that I really like what you have done up to this point. Too bad that you cannot change size of characters, Ogier would be awesome! Can't help how the game is coded though...

In any case, there are one thing I do not like however. The use of major characters.
Seeing Tom Merrilin as a lord leading an army... Doesn't feel quite right. Same thing with Mat who just happens to be Lord of Baerlon.
My recomendation would actually be to not use major characters at all. The game engine won't let you introduce them in any logical way.
Another big drawback is that you spoil parts of the story for people who have not yet read the books (a cetrain Amyrlin and atleast one Queen is pretty big spoilers here).

Apart from that, the map still needs some work, but i'm guessing you are still working on that. The only real thing that bugged me was Baerlon, as it should be to the north of Tarren Ferry, and not up in the Mountains of Mist where it's currently placed (that would be where old Manetheren would be )

A good resourse for maps is http://www.wotmud.org/directory/maps.php

Also a few words about the factions:

They are now split a bit oddly. Either you could make a lot of smaller factions but make them allies by default (is that possible? I don't know) or make bigger and fewer factions. So, either make all countries have their own factions, with solid alliances or I have an idea how to split it up intobigger factions:

Legion of the Dragon:
Or maybe call it something else. This is Rands forces, Aiel, Legion of the Dragon and countries bound to him. The troop trees could simply ble split into Aiel and Legion. Legion don't have many different troops anyway, they are skirmishers, so bunching the cavalry in there as well fit like a glove.
They controll Tear, Illidan and Cairien

Andor and Tar Valon:
These are tightly bound together in ages. Seems like they will be even more so in the future (won't spoil it) so it do make sense.Hard to get Tar Valon in otherwise, as they like someone else said, are only one city. That doesn't work very well in M&B.
Troops are ofcourse standard Andor troops and maybe younlings. I will come to Aes Sedai in a sec.
Regions are all of Andor (including Two Rivers) and up to Tar Valon.

Borderland Alliance:
Borderlands should be mighty. The countries themselves are a bit small though, so make them into one. Areas they controll are pretty obvious.
Troops? Heavy Cavalry foshizzle!

South Alliance & Western Alliance:
As you don't want Seanchan in game (I understand your reasoning here, too much work, too little reward) make the seanchan controlled areas into two alliances. Could be one Alliance as well, but it would be a bit too powerful, considering the large area.
South Alliance would be: Altara, Amadecia and Ghealdan
Westen Alliance would be: Tarabon and Amadecia.

The Shadow:
If at all possibly, expand the map slightly to the north, and toss some cities and castles into the blight. This is the lair of the shadow, with trollocks pouring out. Troops? Speaks for itself.

Now, as for Aes Sedai and Ashaman. The Mod "The Sword of Democles" have something they call faith troops. Under certain conditions you can get them. Having a similar system in this mod, would allow you to make them much more powerful, as they would also be much more rare. Having them in the regular troop tree just feels a bit off.

Last thing I want to say is make them trollocks more fearful! The ones I met were basicly the sea raiders from native. Trollocs should travel in bigger packs, and deliver a harder punch. Let the normal puny shadowsworn farmers and whatever take that role.

Thats all for now. Please don't take this as too much critique - I love what you have done with the mod already, this is just some of my ideas, comming from someone who niether have the time and knowledge to make something like this. I thank you very much

when the new Mount and Blade game is released how about porting this into it?
it will have improved AI and i think it said improved (i dont remember what its called) so u might have alliances...

and add a freakin hood for mydraal and a horse!!

great mod anyways!!
