The hackers will of course not be found. They have sure hidden there IP address and all information. So i'm not sure that you will find them.  :???:

Its annoying there isn't some kind of official statement, or if there is I missed it. Following warband on Facebook nothing there and I can't find anything on the steam news page or on these forums.

Whats most annoying is this happened just when the community was getting a boost from the sale.

Have you read the topic? Or atleast a couple of pages ?

Devs have been pretty active in responding to the issue;

I also apologize for all the yelling, panic, spamming, and general mayhem in this thread.  It just means we are passionate about your product -- so really its a compliment if you look at it that way.
Well, in that case I should thank everyone for the compliment. Seriously, you have every right to be frustrated and we should have resolved the issue much sooner. Unfortunately the system is designed to fall back to a backup server, and it is the normal behavior for the backup server to distribute wrong unique IDs, so it took us a while to figure out that there is actually a bug in the system...

Garison 说:
Does this mean the Unique ID problem, or the general problem?
IT'S SO AMBIGUOUS I'M HAVING A HANDICAP STALL.

Sorry. Game mods that do not depend on IDs seem to be working fine at the moment. The remaining issue is with the unique IDs, which is what we are working on.

Hello,

I apologize for the problem. There must have been a problem while we were carrying over the service to the new server. We are working on the problem and it should be resolved soon.

The problem should have been solved for players whose DNS servers have been updated.

If you are still experiencing problems, could you try the following:

Form Start menu type cmd

In command prompt type:

ping warbandmain.taleworlds.com
It should display a result like this:

Pinging warbandmain.taleworlds.com [76.72.169.74] with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

Ping statistics for 76.72.169.74:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),
If the IP is not 76.72.169.74, then your DNS still points to the old IP. You can just wait until the DNS is updated by itself (Difficult to say when that will happen. Should take several hours at worst case) or, if you don't want to wait, you can just change your computer's DNS setting to another DNS server. Here's a well written blog entry listing some popular DNS servers:

That sounds like something a hacker would say! GET HIM!

Glad to hear everything's back on track. Thank you for your patience and please let us know if you encounter further problems.

We only laugh at you when you say stupid things like "I feel like they're laughing at us".

Who knows, maybe it was someone particularly stupid whose data is already known publicly. And has a steam group where he claims to be responsible for this

Finally. cRPG general discussion forum started to look like a mess with all the whine threads. I gave up after I moved the 5th one to spam... Oh you.
