Server Crashing Bug

Playing on one of the battle servers, I picked up an enemy spear (I was Khan Archer, he was Nord Horseman) I got an runtime error and I was told (via vent) that the server had crashed. I am pretty sure that picking up the weapon was the cause of the crash.

Hmm... I doubt it. Never seen a weapon pick up cause a crash myself. But that doesnt mean it couldnt or doesnt happen. If you see it happen again take a screen shot of the error message. Right now the known c++ crash error is involving rgl.skeleton which they know about but havent been able to self replicate as of this time and thus unable to exactly fix it yet. Or that was the status I last heard.
 
This actually happened on Battle Beta server 8 earlier today(last night) when I was a Khan Archer trying to pick up a Swadian shield. Integer was there as well on the Swadian side

Was it with the usual rgl.skeleton? Or is it a new/undiscovered c++ error?
 
Actually... there was an error message asking me to Abort, Retry or Ignore. I should really start reading those as opposed to getting mad at the computer and cursing and just clicking abort. :razz:

Lol, yeah... thatd be helpful :razz:

But did it look like the one in this thread to your knowledge (image below).

Granted, all C++ runtime errors will look like this, but does the text ring a bell?
 
The idea though, Darkness, maybe helping the devs figure out what is causing the crash. These are two different incidents, but with the same error. One, potentially is greater since it crashes everyone (not sure if the other does or not). Additionally, I've gotten the skeleton error one, but this bug has happened on multiple occasions.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure when the rgl.skeleton error occurs, everyone gets it at the exact same time and everyone in the server crashes out. So, I find it unlikely that one person picking up a weapon is the cause of everyone getting this error and crashing out. But then again, it is possible.

But trust me, I know about trying to help the devs :razz:

I was just trying to see if it was an rgl skeleton error or not, because if it is, we already have a thread or 2 for it. So no reason to split the discussion and what not across multiple boards. That is not going to help fix the problem. yah know?
