Basically it's another oldschool RPG. Nothing groundbreaking, but a real treat for those of us tired of replaying BG.
I'm really intrigued by the visual style because it reminds me of Darklands.
Almost fully funded in the first few days. Do check it out at least if you're into vintage.

Link to Kickstarter.

Nice find, thanks for sharing.

I would definitely love something old school like BG and BGII to play.

Ah **** this, the graphics are inexcusably atrocious, there's just no reason they'd have to be like this. Take some lessons from Pillars of Eternity for creating a vintage yet beautiful artstyle, yo.

I quite like this style. Hm.

(it's made by a husband and wife team, this is really their best option.)

This is now 20% off on Steam (for 16 bux). They're done with patching for now (9 patches since release!) so I'll be playing this after I finish the Witcher.

Gotta agree with you here, you can do low budget graphics without it looking quite so horrible.

Graphic-whorin' it up in here, I see. The graphics are clear and readable, so I see no issue, the game sounds fun so I may try it out.

You're just being unreasonable calling it graphic whoring, it's not even that.

It is just style and I like it. Nothing cheap or wrong about it, really.

They had issues, like when you walked to a front plane oriented obstacle, it slid into the ground and only showed a footprint to indicate there was an obstacle. It was confusing as hell and they changed it to the obstacle turning semi-transparent, after I reported it.
That was a problem, it looked ugly and confusing.

The game looks just fine. (it's after all closer to Knights of the Chalice, or Darklands, than to Baldur's Gate.)

Their best option is to git gud.

Yeah, well. They're most likely living on the edge of poverty or something. RPGcodex even sent them coffee, because they ran out. I would support these devs even if the game wasn't interesting and good looking. (which it is)

Why would you support them if the game wasn't interesting? There's thousands of unemployed, poor devs, gonna support them all?

Not sure why people are against pixel art graphics. It's quite charming. Reminds me of Tactics Ogre to some extent. Even the portraits are pixel art, which is nice in comparison to games that have 3D sprites with portraits that aren't even remotely close to the sprite used to represent that character.

Not to mention the fact that pixel art is not exactly the easiest thing to do, and that it's easily playable and you can understand what's going on... quite nice in my opinion.
