Sernix_Siege_vs_Bots (A Full Coop NW Siege Server - Modded Server Side)

Server is Live Again! 5/26/15 with improvements!

  • Hey everyone, just spent the past week modding the crap out of NW warband server side scripts to finally offer a fully Cooperative Napoleonic Wars experience.

    This was highly inspired by Full Invasion 1 and 2 mods, expansion With Fire and Sword, and of course the 15th Humans vs Bots server for NW.


    NO MODS REQUIRED(MODDED SERVER SIDE)! JUST CONNECT TO SERVER NAME BELOW!


    Modded Server Features:(UPDATED)

    -Full Coop vs AI on modded NW siege maps (Server currently uses an auto-swap feature to move any players joining bot team)
    -Currently 4 fully modded, improved, AI meshed Siege Maps.
    -Improved AI (AI: attacks destructible doors/buildables, flank, setup hold formations, dynamically go for flag or enemy players
        (No Human Commanders needed!)
        1.) AI also has dynamic attack/defense aggressiveness
    -Automated Bot Balancing:  The server automatically adjusts bots per player that joins (no Admin required). 
        1.) Basically when oneplayer joins team 1, 50 bots are on team one and 120 on team 2 ALWAYS.  The player team command over the team 1 bots, as more player joins bots leave.  Keeping the battle large and relevant. 
    -AI uses all unit types available including Cavalry, Artillery (they dont shoot arty), Sailors, etc.  (this is hardcoded in when no players on Bot team)
    -Destructible doors vanish to avoid making AI continuously attack them.
    -AI entry points re-done to allow more diverse spawning (this may need to be re-adjusted due to possible bug)



Whats to come:
-More AI meshed, balanced maps (mainly modded official maps)
-Further balances, scripting improvements
-Community suggestions
-Further AI improvements


Known issues:
-Spreading out enemy entry points may cause players to spawn at enemy spawn points, this can be fixed if it ends up occurring often
-Server lag has been adjusted caused by AI attacking destructibles, more testing will determine if fully optimized with high player counts


Our NW dedicated server is called:  Invasion_COOP_vs_AI

The server has a dedicated 100/100mbit download/upload and is a fully loaded server.

Also, check out our With Fire and Sword Captain Coop Server called: Dynamic_Squadsv2_6, we have ALL modded maps, and heavily modded server side scripts reflective of Full Invasion 2 Mod mechanics, and Dynamic Squad Sizes!  Epic Battles of 200 vs up to 500 AI

This is not a public release, only a server release.

Thanks, I did the same night, but also have made many new changes and additions to the mode since I posted this.  Its much more solid but has not been tested with more than 15 players.  Im curious to see how performance holds up with over 30-50+ players which would equal about 70-110 Bots.

Yes possibly, I've focused more time on my wfas server recently and have learned a ton of things through trial and error.  I may implement some of that into a NW reboot.  Right now I don't have enough room on my server to host it but possibly in future. 

What I may do though is take the captain coop pvp aspect and make that into coop.
