Edit your savegame after the end. Its a workaround, but at least it works.

That's not a solution at all. By then the map is heavily scripted and all the Northumbria Generals are trapped (by constantly warping there) in Londinium, go and see for yourself

I did. You can do that or wait for the patch as the game dev mentioned above.

weird my game automatically carries on after the story although weirdly after I give the letter to the norse and join them I have no further storyline quests. Is this meant to happen or am I missing something?

I think the OP should change the title to indicate that a dev has replied concerning the problem/complaint/suggestion

You should get more events after that, it's not the end of the storyline.

Few... I'm getting the feeling that I'm nearing the end of th campaign, but I'm only just getting started in terms of territorial expansion.
Thank you devs, it's very promising that you are at least paying close attention to our criticism, even if it is post-release
