serial key

So I bought the game online and I got a serial key

XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX format

I used the other activation method for the game, since my firewall was blocking it (noticed after i tried multiplayer)


Now I was curious and tried to add it to my games on the website, and it won't work, says its invalid...

you sure you didn't buy a fake CD key? did you buy a hard copy or get it from steam?

Got it from website, bought it online, the key came in my email, it worked for manual activation, so its not fake i assume.
