Serial Key

I've been playing M&B for a very long time. I've played it for years. One day my computer got infected with a bunch of viruses and we had to wipe the memory. I downloaded M&B again, requested my serial key, and kept playing. Somewhat recently, the memory had to get wiped again. We've got W7 now and our computer couldn't handle it. I Couldn't play Mount and Blade for a while. Now we've got some more memory, and I downloaded it again.
There's one problem, though.
The serial key isn't long enough.
It's missing two characters in the end. I've requested from eSellerate twice and got the same thing. I've tried my hardest to fix it myself, but I can't.
I can't buy this game again because I don't really have that much spare cash floating around. Besides... I don't want to get ripped off from when I bought it in the first place.

Help?

I've seen on a few threads that the serial keys got changed or reset when Warband came out or something. I think it was if it was two keys too short and it started with SKU, then it was invalid and I'd have to get a new one. Any word on this would be appreciated.

I`ve got this problem too. Serial no. starts with SKU and is too short. A solution other than buying new license would be much appreciated.

If you can't get anything back from eSellerate, there's not much you can do. On the bright side, there are only 630 possible combinations.
