Serial Key Activation Problem!

Basically I got the same problem when I bought the game today as http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,226069.msg5453205.html#msg5453205

And simply it happened pretty much the same and got that link from a friend, but the problem is I followed the solution on and couldn't seem to find MountAndBladeWarbandKeys...

Was hoping to get on and play but I can't. If anyone has a solution as to why it has dissapeared I could start to play. Thankyou.

You need to find the registry key as listed and delete it as instructed in that post. It has to be there, check again.

More specificity on its location:

Hit the Windows Key and R, which will bring up a Run... window.
Then type "regedit" in that window and press enter.

Once there, navigate the tree to:

HKEY_CurrentUser->Software->MountAndBladeWarbandKeys

On the right hand side you should see a list of things like serial_key.

Scrolled down it slowly, and can only find a few Mount&Blade: Warband files. Nothing about a registery key/serial key

Happens that I had been looking at the wrong place. Right not left.. All good now.
