Self induced sleep paralysis

I had it once, I heard my bones breaking, my room was lid like it was daytime, I tried moving my toes and fingers but nothing happened, it was a very weird feeling. Yuck! The only weird part was that I heard bones breaking, nothing else.

I've experienced it at least twice, first time was really scary as i could only move very very slowly(slower than snails pace) and i heard high pitched laughter, also the tv was displaying some really freaky ****.

Second time was slightly more pleasant as it only lasted the best part of 4 minutes compared to 15 minutes of pure nightmare, all i heard was a buzzing sound in my right ear and some sort of shadow appearing out of my wardrobe, i managed to break out of it by constantly telling myself to wake up.

And this is why I always try to move before opening my eyes.

Then stop doing it. I have never heard of people who unwillingly lucid dream constantly, since it is something you have to induce yourself.

When I used to lucid dream, I didn't have to induce ****, I'd just realize it was lucid and start ****ing around.

This technique is known as WILD (Wake initiated lucid dream or something) and is the most efficient way of achieving lucid dreams but is hard to master. If anyone wants to actively pursue lucid dreams I would recommend writing a dream journal and telling yourself every night before you sleep that you will remember your dreams and become conscious in them. Good sleep schedules and dedication are key to success.

I just read some stuff on the internet, and lucid dreaming can actually go horribly wrong and make you hear things when awake. You can also start to see illusions of your dreams when awake which is really creepy.

BUT lucid dreaming can also be a good thing, you can find the "calmness" in yourself and you can also experience some good dreams. But what I've read, untill you really can control your dreams they will mostly be nightmares.

Cheers, spam.
