just wantd to know how is this work
i mean,what set the kind of troops i'm starting with
and whay i can't chose them by myself
what if i want to fight just with archers

Well, As far as I can tell from your post.
you mean why cant you choose which soldiers you start with?
or why cant you eliminate archers from a seige?

For the most part it's the order they are in. In the party menu. Companions will always be with you.
And I'm not sure, but I think numbers count aswell. So having 100 archers at the bottom of the list will still get some of them into the fight.

If you want pure archers youc an either just take archers with you or out them at the top and have such a large amountof them, that the other kinds only play a minor role.
