Hey guys, I am looking for modders and associated people skills to get a warband mod started. The mod idea is 85% game play/design modifications not very art work heavy which I hope makes it go faster provided the code can be changed for these ideas.
Introduction idea overview
The overall idea is a better conquest game mod with team play highly emphasized. Idea would be to create ticket based scenes or battlemaps (what ever their official name is) that have landmarks that capturing increases chances of winning the match. Very similar to basic system in the Battlefield series games. Something along the lines of for every additional landmark captured by Team A , Team B will lose 1 ticket. For every Death/respawn Teams lose 1 ticket.
Must have Core Concepts:
Moving spawn points and limited spawn points
You can only spawn at controlled landmarks/bases/flags (what ever you want to call them) and the spawn points move depending on what landmarks you own. You can be "capped out" meaning all the capped out party has not controlled landmarks and can not respawn and subsequently loses.
Custom maps
Nice conquest specific maps with large areas and many landmarks/capture points with advantages/disadvantages.
Non-critical 2ndry concepts
Factions altered or removed/consolidated
Allow players to choose any faction troop or merge all factions and level their skills/stats so that there is just archer/calv and infantry. Remove shield skill. Smaller shields cost less while bigger more. Or, possibly one troop that can use all weapons including bows and xbows and ride all horses.
Third tier concepts more luxury then anything.
Wishful ideas but seem less feasible
3 teams instead of just 2
squads within teams
Ability to spawn on squad leader if a number of factors are met to make it balanced. Maybe something like must have signaling horn or flag or something equipped and can not be combat flagged for within the last minute. Re spawn timer is 10 secs longer from squad leader then at a base.
Or squad leader deployable spawn points
Landmarks give unique bonus's as well as tickets and gold. For example outpost/forts in woods may have archery bow unlock or give bonus to archery damage to controlling team.
I could make a 1000 page post on other ideas but I am trying to be realistic and start small.
