er...no you can't.

Oh ok then...

I've been doodling a bit:

Each of these buildings are modular - ie each floor, large object is
a separate object so you guys will be able to 'build' your own towns
lego-style in the later versions of the game.

I have been working on textures, but I'll finalize them later. Of course
expect these models to vary enormously once Armagan sees them and
tells me to start again! I've got a lot of detailing work to do - but you
can see where I've started - eg the roof timbers etc...

Other stuff like interiors and models again will change greatly -
here's one I've been fiddling with:

Anyway I should really be modelling - I've got a list the size of, well, Calradia! to complete - keep pming, posting and emailing any buildings,
objects etc that you'd like to see in town - it's brilliantly useful!

Wow.. nice work alphbeta77, keep it up!

Nice to see you've got mods in mind while creating things, too.

Wow, very nice! Those look good! We know you're all working hard, but it's so exciting to be able to see progress! Otherwise, it'd be pretty wierd to have almost 1,000 people looking over your shoulders all of the time . . .

Those buildings look good already now. Maybe you could add a fountain, for on the market square.

And maybe you could an... ummm... You know, this (don't know the English word.) For on the market square! And maybe the body of a mountain bandit hanging on the rope.

Thanks guys!

Lhorkan - fountain and gallows are already in hand! I've pretty much finished a gallows model and I'm going to wait until a later stage for the fountain - it'd be nice to use some particle style effects (see torches) for the water - but I'll just wait a bit longer and see what Armagan comes up with!

apologies! gargoyles eh? I might need to consider that then! Got any pictures of authentic medieval gargoyles? I think it's one of those nice finishing touch things that'll I'll certainly be adding at some point!

How about making sets of buildings (like small house, medium house, large house, church, military buildings and some statues) in different architecture styles? This way the modders could vary the architecture in their cities. For example roman-style buildings in the town centre then the typical medieval architecture for the smaller houses near the city wall and a gothic church.

Regards
~Wasty

yep - stables are already on my enormous 'to-do' list - but pretty high - I'll be starting them soonish - archery range will also feature - as part of the tournament expansion - I've got a few sketches already for that - good suggestions!

Hi Wasty - I'm trying to make it as modular as possible - so you guys can build stuff with as much freedom as possible - at the moment I'm sticking medieval - though it's highly likely I may add features at a later date!

does anyone know why where are gargolyes on churches? It is very strange to me that they would put demon/beast-like sculptures on the roof of churches. I know what their function is (because of rain), but why do the look the way they do?
