Ok I have seen some screenshots and I notice many people can take a screen of their char's all body. How do you do that? Is there some kind of zoom out button?

I saw some screen where the guy was using a black shield with a dragon on it, where do you get it?

I also saw a screen where it was a snowy terrain, where can you find that?

Please answer and thanks if you do it

Back off, flamers.

Anyhow, welcome to the forum, BoltScar.

1) the '~' button (to the left of the 1 button on your keyboard) allows you to view your entire character.

2) pressing 'print screen' takes a screenshot, but you have to then paste it on Paint and store it on some online server, like imageshack.

3) Snowy terrain is on the far side of the map, deep in Vaegir territory.

4) Not sure which shield your talking about, could be the steel shield which is round, the strongest, and the most expensive.

in the Post a Caption topic, theres a guy that posted a good looking dark shield, which i would like to know how to get (I have steel shield atm)

Thanks for welcoming me

One more thing, why do I always see groups of 25+ now in M&B? is that because im lv20?

Heh I love the game, this char I'm doing right now has like 18h but it has:

Warhorse
Heavy Double Axe
Steel Shield
Longsword (is there any one-handed sword better than this?)
Black Helmet
*that blue chain armor from the arena*(+20 +7)
Black *boots?*
*some 27p bow with +3dmg 25/25 arrows*

Borsha with chain armor and lame steppe horse and a 570 shield

Manrid with leather armor and lame steppe horse and a 500 shield

my heroes help me alot with their bows, Borsha especially, kills alot

---------------

Anyone here can KEEP more than 20 members in party? I wish to know how

btw I have some good hints for when you fight alone, on foot, with shield and sword, against 30 chain armored men with horses (some warhorses)

Othragon

Are you asking how to get that many soldiers into your group or are you asking how to keep that many alive?

As you gain levels ... the groups on the world map grow in numbers. Soon you will see groups as large as 60 and 75 soldiers in one roaming party.

Do you have the latest version of M&B? You can get the latest version from my signature, if not. The snowy terrain that you see is battles that have begun in the white snowy lands in the world map. The land that you see in battles is now generated based on the terrain that you are on in the world map.

Hope that helps,

We must be playing different games here. I suppose you refer to the lame duck moustached wind bag of a tracker called Borcha... unless in .702 there's a new heroine...

When you use Print Screen and save to Paint, the deault filetype will be Bitmap. Change this and save your filetype as JPEG which takes up significantly less space.

ok thanks

I mean how to keep that many alive lol

I see war parties of 70-80 already.... thats really wowing

btw I had a lv20 char and now with the new update I lost it!

Boltscar, keep your men alive by:

* Raising your tactics skill. This will give you numerical advantage in battle.
* Telling your men to "hold" "follow" and "charge" at the right moments. If you start on a hill for example and have ranged troops (troops with bows, stones, whatever), tell them to hold and they will pepper oncoming enemies with missiles.
* Infantry can swamp horsemen. Just let the cavalry come and order your men to charge at the last moment. The horses will be caught in the fray, rear up, get stuck and die.
* Horsemen can easily kill off infantry on flat terrain. When faced with lots of enemy archers, however, lead your troops yourself, taking a route that offers cover. At close range, set the cavalry loose
* Last but definitely not least: YOU are the hero! Charge in, kick ass and take names so your men don't have to! You are the biggest support they have, in fact

Have fun!

Edit: also don't forget to feed your men!

You mean that one? Its a mod I made in the before times  I'll probably remake/update it to the new version once a) we get the mod tools, b) n008 puts together a new hugemod or c) n008 finishes his RFS editor

Tips from me:

*Slavery is a GREAT way to get yourself tons of money-- but it really sucks using most bashing weapons. Stick to rocks! Rocks allow both a shield, and good distance. Headshots will afford you a little bit of leeway. I find using two large bags is enough to take care of a group of 10-20 soldiers, though you will run out so throw sparingly. The reticle wont get too huge when moving, but it seems the rocks favor the middle-left of the reticle-- so keep moving and pelting, because you can throw relatively fast.

*Do not discount polearms! Using a polearm often has three benefits: It can often be two or single handed (With the exception of a few pikes and the poleaxes/voulges/similar) Their reach is unparalleled. They also do very decent damage, and can take horses out easily. The third benefit is using it in a jousting position (The game calls this crouched spear damage.) You can easily take a man out on either horseback or on foot this way-- use it to your advantage!

Borcha is a great character-- especially at lower levels. With the trainer skill, you can give EXP to your party members every day (or hour... I forget.) So this might be a valuable skill for you to take. Further, equipping borcha with rocks and a shield, as well as a sword for backup, almost garuntees he'll last a little longer then normal. Just note, if any man charges into a group, you can expect them to be KO'ed

*Take advantage of your party members skills! Things such as riding and tracking can really help you out. Get borcha at least a basic horse, and he'll do just fine out there. A polearm would likely do him service as well, for the reach can keep him alive longer.

*Best sword I've seen, is the bastard sword. The good point about this sword is it's reach, and the fact it can be used one-handed with a shield, granting you the reach of a lower level polearm, while at the same time giving you freedom to use either a two handed weapon or a one handed weapon (depending on your mood towards either.)
