So a mission you have to burn a weed field? Hah, what a ****ing rip off of GTA SA. I'm really, really skeptical towards Far Cry 3 cause 2 was such ****.

It's been lauded across the board by people I trust. The press also likes it, which actually makes me a bit sceptical again to be honest, but at least on my end the positive voices are the vast majority.

Damn, a similar mechanic in a mission? A ****ING RIPOFF! SCANDAL! BURN THE HERETICS!

The game is exceptionally better than Far Cry 2, but I still can't bring myself to play it for over 30 minutes at a time for some reason.

Just to note, for the price that the Fortune edition for Far Cry 2 is going for these days (easily 5 bucks), it's a good buy.

Not gonna blow your mind or anything but not every game can be a life changing paradigm.

I honestly consider FC3 to be an improvement as much as it was a downgrade.

My main issue - the world. It's just pathetic in Far Cry 3. The island is just generic as ****, without any  really interesting locations. The game also looks worse for some reason.

A serious trade off, and I honestly cannot say which one I prefer.

I'mma gonna sit in my corner on my own and say I absolutely loved Far Cry 2. Sure, I knew exactly what its downsides were, but they didn't detract from the sheer amount of fun I had with that game.

Don't feel bad.  I never finished the first one, because I could never get past the helicopter that attacked when I was on the cargo ship.
