Saving lords from cities

I'm in Ribe I walked all around and couldn't find a prison. In old mount and blade they'd always be right next to the lord hall. Perhaps I'm blind but where are the prisons now in the cities?

Just take a look for the prison guard, sometimes prison gates open into underground if I am remembering correctly

This reminded me, when i was freeing one of the lords(East Angle Lord i believe) i got him out of the prison and then when we clear the castle of enemy troops. He decides im the enemy and the only way i can get out of the scene is to kill him. Kinda destroys the point of freeing him! lol Realy annoying because i have a quest to free him but this happens every time i try.

This is on a new game starting on 1.04beta

Also i forgot to upload a save regarding recruiting issues in the story. i appear to have the same issue with a few lords on this save(sandbox) I think it may be where i am not asking the lords for permission to recruit but i have been asking the village elders and just recruiting that way bypassing the lords?

About recruitment, what option you have in options menu? if it is easy, you dont need to ask to get permission, simplely visit village and choose recruit option.
If you have normal option you need to talk to local elite in villages (to recruit in villages) and to lords (to recruit in castles or towns). This isnt easy, but you have different options to success. Until where I know, this system is working well. Exactly what problem did you have about?

I have normal recruitment (easy felt like cheating lol) I have the dialogue option to recruit from some Lords but not all. I presumed I pissed them off because i was stealing men from their villages!

Yes, in easy mode dialog is here, but no necesary, only roleplay.

If you have bad relation with a place, yon wont be able to recruit there

hmmm maybe im going mad lol, Ill put heat mode on when i get home a tele around the map to check. Did u check the rescuing the lord issue? Thinking it may be something my end as im the only one with these problems.

Yes, he take out with me, we kill enemies and then mission over. All perfect.

Must be my end then ill try re-installing the game when i get a min. Ill let you know.
