Saved Games

I did a brand new install to the latest version, but before I did this I copied the saved games directory. When I reinstalled, I inserted the saved games directory, but when I go into the game, I can't restore it which is frustrating because I was around level 20.

Can anyone help?

No, sorry. There is no way around it. Former saves just don't always work in the latest updates. It is one of the pains in the ass of playing a game in development.

One thing you can do to get back a reasonable copy of your older person is to use the XP cheat and money cheat to get him back to the level he was and with comparable wealth. You can use the XP cheat on Marnid and Borcha as well.
You'll still have to get back equipment, troops, and standing with your side of choice, but it helps.
