Save Games...

I'm relatively new to Mount&Blade, seeing as I've only played a week.
I've seen people complaining about their saves being corrupt when upgrading to a new version.
What's with that?
I did buy Mount&Blade if you're in doubt though

You can back up your savegames and try patching it. I didn't have any problems with that.

Actually, the update per se is not a problem.

I have been using .632 since I found the game, and my archer has been corrupted three times. Always the same guy and the same slot (2nd on the right row).

Backups would help, but just guess if I've made any?

can i guess??? no.... iv had no problems with ne o my save slots n i started on .632...

FWIW, I've been playing since.. what was before .623? .622? and have never had any problems with corrupted saves. I do occasionally back up my saved games nonetheless, just in case.

I started playing at .622. Back then horses didn't do charging damage, winning arena fights gave you a pittance, everybody was everywhere else in Zendar, stuff wasn't shiny, and the conversations weren't as lively.

I've never had a corrupted save, although I only have two characters

all 6 slots used. Never had a corrupted save. Maybe you're installing and uninstalling mods and that causes the corruption?
