I heard that they had tried to do a proper sauna in some German hotel, with mixed results. There was a proper kiuas and lauteet in there, everything built just nicely, but the sauna was completely insulated. It had a pressure door, for God's sake!I've been to germany and denmark and atleast those saunas are patheticIn many places in germany your strictly forbidden to throw water on the "Kiuas" an employee handles that, and he keeps the temperature at 40c (really it should be around 80)
Well, Amsterdam...Also most saunas in my city focus on gay men. Strange.
