BrC Crusader 说:To ensure your regiment has a place in the weekly linebattle there is a meeting on the 22nd Teamspeak server:
Times for your area
7pm-British time
8pm-Rest of EU
2pm-EST
At this meeting factions are decided as are what server you will be placed and what class you will be asigned too. If you are not at this meeting or a representative of your regiment is not you will be asked to leave if you turn up.
PM on the forums or my steam is : fieldtoby if you have any further queries or questions needing to be asked

SeanBeansShako 说:You know, an idea popped into my head the other day and I've given it some thought.
Since buffs are now working why not give the biggest most organised line on both side the General instead of having an officer to lead them? call me being an internet optomist in thinking that a General with their buffs leading the bigger boys would give the battle something of a 'main' line to rally around and fight with instead everyone playing follow the leader Sharpe edition with their own agenda.
Worth considering an experimentation with at least.

Moogs 说:Bring back generals for Saturdays?
Organising the whole thing already takes a good half an hour. Thanks to the way the Saturday LB is organised the Generals will only find out who their regiments will be late on into the organisation. This will mean even more sitting around, waiting for regiment commanders to add the General to a whisper list and for the General to add them.
Then you have the problem of finding the actual people to contact. Everyone has their different TS and not everyone is familiar with whispers. That will take time to get around as well.
The size of the Saturday LB is a problem, it will be near impossible to find enough generals to fill the positions. Even if we only got a pair for one server each week it will still be another wall to face.
From my memory having a general wasn't exactly fun either. The idea of some guy tell you what to do with your regiment and then having a go at you if you didn't carry out his orders isn't one I wish to recreate.
I remember having regiments black listed because they didn't follow orders, I don't want to start black listing orders because the general wanted a skirmish regiment to advance miles in front of the main body of infantry because "you have barricades".
Generals, pah.

Moogs 说:I only have one problem with your idea Shako, who decides which regiment is the "most organised"?
@Kator, commanders were possible back then because regiments had a sort of mutual respect for each other. The few good commanders you would get would usually end up being friends and therefore helping the community become close.
Now things are a little more, divided. I'm sure there would be some sort of regimental politics going on to get one of their officers being the general or some regiments refusing to take orders from that specific person.
I'd like to see commanders return, just not for the saturday LBs.
