Name:Sir Corey Allard
Age:24
Sex:Male

Appearance: 6'4" and about 186 lbs. Has brown hair that gets lighter if exposed to the sun long enough. His hair is cut 1.5 inches above his eyebrows but is a little long in the back, around chin level. He is muscly due to intense training with whoever he can train with and he was in many battles.  A few scars along his chest and arms from battles.

Background: Born to a noble family, Corey's parents were killed when he was 3. He was taken in by a family friend in the local Templar order where he was trained in the ways of God and the ways of the sword. He wasn't the greatest student, but he was a very skilled fighter. He managed to stay on the good side of the order members for the majority of his time with them. The Templars knighted him and sent him away to the army when he was of age along with most of his classmates. He fought in plenty of battles and survived all of them, though most of his friends weren't as lucky. Corey was called to the Crusades and went eagerly with the hope of getting some renown for a deed, but he also knew that it wasn't very likely.

Tell me if I need to change anything.

Edited for clarity.

Was He merely taught by the Templars, or was He knighted? He probably wasn't as his parents weren't nobles.

Name: Vilgot Duln
Age: 22
Sex: Male
Appearance: Short blonde hair, blue eyes, slight build, of average height. Dresses as a simple monk.

History: Born in the Swedish city of Uppsala, in the year of our Lord one thousand and sixty nine. His father was a local merchant of some renown. As such he received an education in standard curriculum of the times(grammar, rhetoric, logic, Latin, astronomy, philosophy and mathematics ). His family held ambitions of him gaining a degree in theology, with the hope that he could secure an influential position  within the rising Chrisitan Church in Sweden. The potential for both political and social advancement being the main incentive.

Though a talented scholar, this ambitious career was not to be. The Duln family suffered great financial hardships and during this period Vilgot was rumored to have engaged in less “holy pursuits.” Records of his life in the following years is relegated to rumors and hearsay. There are some in the Swedish highlands who refer to him as a thief, murderer and bandit, of some slight fame one might add. Others claim he served some time as a soldier for the king during a period of internal strife and unrest within his homeland. Regardless, the truth is not readily known.

However, recently he has been brought back into the fold. For reasons unknown and on the condition that he undertake a journey to the Holy Land and offer his services until he has earned redemption for his innumerable sins. The bishop of Uppsala himself has sentenced him to exile(to the Jerusalem) on the pain of death should he return before he has repented for his wrongs.

Background: Monk(or at least has the manners/dress/behavior of one), though he has yet to take his vows. However, despite his obvious association with the Church he is rather at odds with the standard doctrine of the times. His seen as a sort of wild preacher of the North(as in this period, Sweden was still becoming a Christian nation, thus it would seem logical that their priests/monks/etc are slightly different to the more well established countries). He journeys to the Holy Land in search of redemption or at least a means to return to Sweden, whilst still remaining alive.

Right. Equipment for each of you.

Vilgot Duln has an old, rusty, iron sword in addition to his simple robes, crucifix, and waterlogged bible - though normally frowned upon, in these days, and in especially in this area, it is recognized that even monks must fight. Duln is a fighting monk.

Sir Corey Allard is equipped with a suit of flexible chainmail, with a simple white tabard and red cross emblazoned on it. His helmet is missing. A steel falchion rests at his hip, and he managed to hang onto his spear, but there is no other weapon on him - a steel shield with the Templar cross is also with him. Allard is a Templar Knight.

Lady Alys is equipped with a suit of flexible chainmail, covered by a simple white tabard with the Templar cross emblazoned on it. She also has no helmet, and a steel longsword is on her back. A shield is also with her. Alys is a Templar Knight.

John Archer, fittingly enough, has a traditional Welsh longbow with him. He managed to protect it from the storm and the sea, though his arrows were not so lucky. He still has 17 clothyard shafts. He also has a woodcutting axe. He has basic armor, a leather breastplate, bracer, boots, but is mostly in linen cloth. Archer is a yeoman.

Sir Joseph Artorious O'Keenan wears a suit of chainmail displaying his heraldry. He has a mail coif and an arming sword in addition to his kiteshield. He also has a spear and knife. O'Keenan is a knight.

Leinad Luther wears a rare silk shirt, a long-sleeved mail shirt and an sleeve-less iron breast plate, along with leather trews covered in mail down to a pair of good leather boots. A well-made oak spear is in his hands, as well as an iron arming sword. Luther is a mounted sergeant.

Couldnt ask for a better set up, nice thick-staved, broad-bladed spear and a nifty lil' blade. When and where do we all start then?

Quick request or question, would it be possible for ze Monk to have something blunt as a weapon? Following the old tradition(no idea if its actually true or not), that monks refused to use bladed/piercing weapons because they viewed them as causing too much harm, but of course blunt weapons were nice.

I'm going to bed so dont expect me to post for another 8 or so hours. Seeing as I'm a mounted sergeant, I let my gelding survive as well. Please dont make me abandon the lil' guy!

WAIT! Please just tell me your name so I'm not stuck waiting for that long, because I'll be in bed by the time you're back.

Don't forget Ulf, a cudgel can be a club, or a staff, it would be more fitting for it to be a staff, as that is what monks casually used as a weapon, but even better would be if you had an iron staff.

Name: Giuseppe Antonio di Faido

Age: 32

Sex: Male

Appearance: Thin build, shoulder-length black hair, dark brown eyes, average height, strong arms and legs.

History: Born in Faido, Ticino in the year 1159 during the height of Frederick Barbarossa's second Italian expedition. His father was a guardsman, his mother died at childbirth. Giuseppe grew up to the care of his relatives, learning of stories of brave Italians fighting other Italians in the Swiss mountains. The stories which inspired him the most were the stories of the famed Guglielmo Embriaco and his Genoese Crossbowmen. His dreams, sadly were no more than dreams. When his father died in 1170, Giuseppe received most of his possessions, which included a crossbow. Giuseppe's dream may have also been realized had it not been for his background of peasantry. Giuseppe would grow up to hunt for his relatives, though not an excellent shot, if the target was large enough he was sure to get an easy hit. Sadly, by 1178 his father's crossbow had rotten, and he was left borrowing weapons from his relatives, who continued to support his growth.

With the encouragement of his relatives, he travelled to Genoa to try to join the Genoese military with fake Genoese papers in 1184. Sadly, he still could not pass, and returned home saddened. By 1191, however, his luck had changed. The pope had called for a crusade, and was willing to accept all who would answer the call. Packing his bags, he began his long journey for the Holy Land, whether by land or sea, he was determined to kill a man with a crossbow.

Background: Born of the Italian peasantry. Can pass off as a proper skirmisher. He has spent most of his days tracking the forests of Faido hunting game for his family, though not the best shot with crossbows, he is well enough to aim properly.

Heavy, durable, but old crossbow, several dozen quarrels for it, and a rusty short sword. Hardboiled leather breastplate over a Genoese uniform. Sound good?
