Sandbox mode?

Do you want an additional sandbox mode?

The ability to join another clan would be nice. Not forced to have your own. Which would probably need a sandbox mode and not the campaign

I guess, you can not. Right now, treat clans like lords in Warband. Only difference they are multiple persons. In final release, I would like to be able to join a clan and take over its leadership like you can be usurper and take over an existing faction.

One of the many things that I liked about the Floris mod was that you could play as an actual merc in a lords army. You started off in the bottom tier and as you leveled up you got better armor and weapons and you got weekly pay. You could hire companions and mercs to work with you. You also got a small percentage of the loot in fights. It was actually a nice way to start off the game with low responsibilities and decision making but fairly safe unless the lord got into a bad situation. If you wanted to keep the armor/weapons at the end you could always desert with hit to your rep. It was a good alternative way to play.

Yeah I remember that. Not the most fond memories as I always chose a bad lord. Either didn't fight or went for unwinnable fights. Still very fun though

Yeah it just added another layer and was a different way to play. It's funny but looking back on it a lot of the features I felt were so important in Warband were put in by mods.

It does make sense that you can't just create a kingdom out of thin air. Even if a flag is pretty flimsy ground for legitimacy it makes sense that you need at least the most basic reason for people to follow you.

i lliked the idea of being able to design your parents..but thats it...i dont want little brother and sister..and another brother...they should make a purer sandboxe mode where after you creat your parents and pick the rest of the character perks and traits and classes thats it... you dropped into the world..no need for epic story..its should be our own decision to build our own epic rp story in the world of bannerbug

and the sooner they add this purer sandbox option the better...

My expectations aren't even that high, I just want the fun I had with warband with some more features, it cant be that hard to do that..

I think you can glean something from the amount of content cut from 2016 on. TW in my opinion just does not have the man power or motivation to design a depth filled game.

They do have the man power and allways seem very motivated to me.. the devs also seem to have lots of good ideas, but most of them don't make it into the final game for some reason. They seem to dumb down everything and appeal to a broader audience which doesen't even exist. Maybe Armagan has gone crazy or something, haven't heared of him in a while..

I really think it has just come down to miss management of their time and resources. All the good ideas and talent may just be treading water and putting out fires instead of adding real content. There are devs who sound like they are putting in so the effort into a great have but they seem to really be all over the place not knowing exactly where they are going.

Yes, a dev team of that size and many talented people should have delivered way more than what we got in this amount of time, it got to be the bad management. Some of the devs are quite active here and talk to us a lot, but I allways hear about their hands beeing tied, it would be nice to get some statements from the managements point of view..
