The ability to join another clan would be nice. Not forced to have your own. Which would probably need a sandbox mode and not the campaign

One of the many things that I liked about the Floris mod was that you could play as an actual merc in a lords army. You started off in the bottom tier and as you leveled up you got better armor and weapons and you got weekly pay. You could hire companions and mercs to work with you. You also got a small percentage of the loot in fights. It was actually a nice way to start off the game with low responsibilities and decision making but fairly safe unless the lord got into a bad situation. If you wanted to keep the armor/weapons at the end you could always desert with hit to your rep. It was a good alternative way to play. The ability to join another clan would be nice. Yeah I remember that. Not the most fond memories as I always chose a bad lord. Either didn't fight or went for unwinnable fights. Yeah it just added another layer and was a different way to play. It's funny but looking back on it a lot of the features I felt were so important in Warband were put in by mods.Yeah I remember that. At this point I don't think it's a choiceI don't want to be dependent on mods, to have a good game experience.
My expectations aren't even that high, I just want the fun I had with warband with some more features, it cant be that hard to do that..
I think you can glean something from the amount of content cut from 2016 on. TW in my opinion just does not have the man power or motivation to design a depth filled game.
I really think it has just come down to miss management of their time and resources. All the good ideas and talent may just be treading water and putting out fires instead of adding real content. There are devs who sound like they are putting in so the effort into a great have but they seem to really be all over the place not knowing exactly where they are going.
