Benkasim hasn't been on here for two months. I don't think their will be an update however disappointing that is.

You know it kinda looks like he made the account just to post this mod. He has only one post outside of this topic.
 
It sucks that this mod hasn't been updated in a while since this sort of gameplay and in depth stuff with the economy is the exact thing I was looking for, I hope the guy comes back and adds more stuff. If that can't be possible I hope someone picks up the torch and creates a new mod much like this one very soon!
 
Sorry for the late reply... was away dealing with real life issues and hadn't had time to play. Anyway...there will be new updates soon...Planning to incorporate the diplomacy mod and custom commander mod as well.

Currently playing the latest version of diplomacy mod to check out the fun factor during late games...but anyway..this mod is not dead yet.. just in development.
 
Having fun playing the Bytenwalda mod...if you haven't tried it, you should. A bit tough in the beginning but get easier as you level up.
 
Don't advertice other mods so people won't play yours - especially not one as good as Brytenwalda  :mrgreen:

Just kidding, I like this mod and would like to see a continuation.

Ha! :grin: I just love Brytenwalda and 1257ad...and not to forget diplomacy and custom commander..

I am currently developing Textbased Quests where you can sent  a few companions and their party off to do some quests. The success of the quest will depend on the companions' skill and talent.

A few stuff that I want to include:

Fief loyalty.
more kingship features.
 
I have bad news and good news.

Bad news : My pc crashed and all my previous mod source files are gone. I have to start from scratch

Good news: Working from nothing once again is liberating and I can add new features to it without worry.

One of the mod ideas that I am trying to implement is Companion Missions.

Example. I have Alayen and Bashetur in my group. I can talk to Alayen and give him a mission to clear the surrounding area of bandits. I can give him some of my troops to assist him. I can also talk to Bashetur and give him a mission to guard Alayen and his troops or follow the warband.

Companion Missions: (to do list)
1) Clear Bandits. (Clearing Bandits may give Players a small % of winning some denars) - Also a good way to level up companions...
2) Guard Companion on mission
3) Tag along the main army.

* Unlike Lords, you will have to pay the companion's troop upkeep in full.
 
Hi,

I am stuck with a challenge. I want to have companions being able to lead their own warbands (not as lords) and gain experience but I don't really know how to do it. I do know that they have to be assigned as player supporter faction or something. Can anyone help?

I like the lots of new companions mod but I prefer finding them on the map rather than the taverns..something like the original M&B mod: Caldaria At War.

An update to the upcoming Warring States II.

7 addition factions:

1) Merchant City of Aran
2) Spice City of Escobar
3) Athalos, City of Thieves
4) Hemmark (Viking Raiders)
5) Hviterike
6) Kingdom of Arrion
7) Caliphate of Inculta

Featuring inter-guild mercenary wars between the 3 upcoming Mercenary Houses.

1) the House of Iron Swords
2) House of Maces & Shields and
3) House of Skulls & Hammers.

Choose which house to support while gaining enmity of the other two.
Recruit Special Troops from favored mercenary house and also gain contractual followers from mercenary captains to aid you in your wars.

Text Quests that shape the Kingdom policy..

Dont download now as it is not updated to the latest version... Going to release it soon..just an update to people who were waiting for new mods to play.

I am having some hurdles as regard to this feature and so I decide to scape it for an alternative.

I can assign a Companion (instead of a spy as it was the case in Brytenwalda)  to spy the nearest town of castle. Upon completion, companion get XP rewards as well as a chance to increase attributes. Also companion may have a chance of being captured for spying.

I can't remember how.. I will have to check the codes again. It is done automatically if I recalled correctly. Custom Commander mod may have similar feature.. I will have to look at that too.
 
Good News...I found the old source codes in one of my backup disks...so

Warring States II will be out either tomorrow or day after tomorrow..
