Bunduqdari, I found the problem. It's my stupid mistake. It's seem between my last test and time I zipped the mod, I did run build_module.bat. For in the last code, i have restricted the reinforcement wave but havent update the end battle check trigger yet. It's done now.
I'll upload the update along with the xml.

Haven't tested the tall-guy thing yet.

I did do some other tests though and I have some good news and bad news.

Good news:
- The Tab button works properly now.
- I didn't notice any clone-heroes on the battlefield. Or any other problem regarding the spawning of heroes/companions. I think that problem is solved now. Maybe.

Bad news:
1) The Free Camera mode doesn't work properly. It's not really a problem, but when I'm switching between the views of the troops and press 2 to see things from afar, the camera sometimes does weird things like making everybody run in the air, or goes into a very awkward camera angle. I think it has to do with the landscapes. Happens mostly on hilly landscape. So I solve the problem by adjusting the camera(height and distance) every time that happens in order to get a normal view. There is no such problem with the Default view(i.e. "behind the back")

2) There is a bug that let's the player switch to Free Camera mode IN ANY SCENE by pressing 2.
Here's the Free view in Ragnar's hall:
Look kinda cool but I don't think this was supposed to happen.

3) More importantly, the Tournaments don't function as they should.
When you register for the tournaments, you get no feedback or message whatsoever. So I just waited some days until the it began, and surely enough I finally got an option at the city screen "The Tournament"
It would be nice to see something like "Tournament will begin in X days" so that you at least know when it'll start.

4) Tier 1 was really messed up. Ymira beat Rolf but the message said: Rolf goes to next tier. How can that happen?  :smile:
There wasn't such a problem with the other tiers.

5) In all the tiers:  Many times when a fight between companions or a fight between player and companion would begin and after 3 to 5 seconds, the fight ends and the player sees a message: "Time Up! DRAW"(because they didn't even touch eachother yet) or "Time Up! Matheld wins by points"(Because she would have given him 1 blow or something)
I think you timed the end of the fights wrongly.

6) In all tiers, when the player selects "Continue" to see the fight, there would sometimes not be a fight at all but simply a message "X beat Y, X goes to next tier". This seemed to happen every other fight, so the first fight is visualized, but the second fight not, then the third is visualized, but the fourth fight is not and so on.
So the player doesn't get to watch all of the fights, only half the fights. Sometimes even the player's fight isn't started and you simply get a message saying "[Your name] won, goes to next tier"

7) After the Tournaments(which was in Sargoth) I could not leave the city. I was at the city menu and I clicked "Leave" but the option didn't work. I could go to the shops, the arena, the caste and everything but I couldn't leave the city menu. So I shut down M&B  :smile:

Some extra notes:
>At the start, there were opponents called BYE who fought against some companions, but these BYE lost all fights against them. I would have like to see many more contestants, like normal Mercenaries or other Lords, just like the Tournaments from native, not just companions fighting eachother..
>I would also like to see an option before the fight, to choose whether you want to watch that fight or not. When there are more contestants, it would be a pain to have to watch every fight.
>And of course, tournaments with different weapons. I only got Two Handed Sword Tournament so far.

  • Camera Problem 1 : OK, I change the way I determine camera height in latest version. I count ground level height now, so it won't take a picture from inside ground again. It removes the glitch about having troops 'running in the air' but will make the camera move dynamically in hilly terrain, so it will make harder for player to control. Please make a try, and tell me what do ypu think about.
  • Camera Problem 2 : Yes, noticed that too. I think I should disable toggling custom camera in indoor scenes
  • Tournaments are twice a month. On date 28 and  13, a town will make announcement that it will hold a tournament. On date 2 and 17 registration opened, then on  date 5 and 20, tournament begins. I'll bring the information into the game later.
  • It's not the tier 1, it's because the timer. If the match ended by KO, everything's OK. I messed up (again) the params to determine the winner of the match that ended by time up. About the timer, yeah I forgot to set it back to 300 seconds (5 minutes). I tested to 30 seconds to see if I can stop the match with timer or not. Another stupid mistake by me.
  • I don't know why you can't leave sargoth. I never experience it. I don't touch town menu except the town_tournament menu.
  • I want the tournament is just for heroes only, player, companions, kingdom heroes and xerina and friends. I'm focusing on the ruleset first, as you see there're still many to fix first. Don't worry there ill be more participants there once I add an AI state for Kindom heroes to register them self to tournament and stay there until tournament finish or at leat until being kicked off from tournament. But I want they stay longer to make a bet,loose their deenars, have debts to another hero or local merchant, and then trigger collecting debt quest or assasination to the merchant for player :smile: 
  • BYE system is to fill empty space to make the participation's number are 8, 16, or 32 so in 2nd tiers and higher, number of participants left always even.
  • I'm affraid I can't aree to give option not to watch a tournament fight. I don't want a randomazion to determine who's the best fighter that get 2500 denaars

BTW, You haven't begun yet on making betting work, right? You click "Make a bet" and you don't get to choose anything right now.

Any advice for another option of tournament's weapon set is welcomed

Swadians: Jousting, Two-Handed Sword,  Sword+Shield, Archery*

Vaegir: Jousting, Two-Handed Sword, Archery*

Rhodokh: Sword+shield, Glaive/Halberd/Poleaxe/Pole-hammer without shield, Crossbow*

Nords: Two-Handed Sword, Sword+Shield, Javelin Throwing*


NOTE:
Jarid throwing from horseback is like Native khergit tournaments, but with your new Tournament system.

The * means these are a different type of tournaments. Archery and Crossbow tournaments are against Targets, not against each other.
I think some mods have already done such a thing. It would be really nice to test your accuracy against others. It does require a new scene with barriers and targets.
 
Yes, I meant kingdom's vassal/lords. (sorry about my english).
Betting system is in proggres. It's Dataset is ready, I 'm doing the presentations. If you click 'test' in config menu, you will find 14 buttons with 'N/A' caption. That's prototype of betting presentation.  If it's done, then you could select the fighter you want to put your money to bet, and get sliders to determine how much deenaries you will bet.

I want to make Archery/Crossbow Contests (I think tournaments are about fight each other) but I am lack of ability to make scenes and scene probs. If anyone can help me to make both things for me. I'm not happy with archery target scene probs for contests I dream. I want archery target that not only have 1 hit box. I want at least 5 hit boxes. It contains 5 circle scene probs, the smallest put ahead the other, so if bolts hit it, it doesnt trigger hitting the bigger ones. So, there are 5 level of points in every hit. I would be happy if there is someone make them for me. I'll promise a great archery contest system if I get them.
 
Yeah, that sounds awesome. You could make the contestants fire on an invisible agent placed behind the target.
 
Oh, no.. I noticed a fatal glitch. When starting any mission with custom camera mode, the screen become blink wildly until we toggle to default camera. That's caused by new camera height count, the opcode I used is only for mission only, calling from before mission start trigger make this error. I 'm fixing it.
 
OK, I hadn't tried the  latest update yet, anyway.

I hope the camera code doesn't become too complicated. The problem I told in my "report" wasn't really a very big problem, it was only annoying that the player had to adjust the camera sometimes.
If it takes too much time and effort, just go back to the old camera. You can fix it later and focus on other features first.
 
Don't worry. I fixed it already. It works fine in Last version now and I have added option to cancel vision when the notification menu appears as you ask yesterday. Just check the last check-box at configuration menu to get this menu activated. Custom Camera also disabled at indoor scenes now.
I tested to fight with new custom camera setting, and it even more challenging now :smile:. Watching the vision with this camera setting also give more 'movie like show'.

Really like all the features you put in. All of them. I don't know much about modding but is there much chance you would release your source so other modders making total conversions could incorporate your great ideas?

A lot of the mods I was most interested in got on my nerves because if I happened to go down.. It's over unless I have an overwhelming advantage (well that and the lack of kingdom management. I like to do my own thing). I Like that even though my troops may be out numbered and out stated, if I set them up properly they may actually win.

I watched that video and it seems to work great. But could it be possible to make the camera move around a little smoother when the troop you are following turns around? You know the camera follows the guy but when the guy turns to the left or right or turns back, the camera also turns but it turns too quickly, which can be disorienting.

btw, I can't try out the fixed version yet. I'll let you if there is something wrong when/if I can
 
Bad news. I found another fatal glitch at current test version. It's about passage doors at castles/towns scenes. It act funny now, when you at tavern, the door that should lead you to the town, now will lead you to lord's hall. At castles it's more serious. Lord hall's door lead you to arena now, and because castles have no arena, then you will be teleported to a dream land :wink:
I'm sorry about that. I spent whole day to find out what's wrong, and I did.
It's the menu. Passages re seems work based on town menu, and I had inserted some menu item there that make the passages point to wrong menu.
I fix that already, and meanwhile, please ignore the passage.

@Roh: when the mod completed, I plann to release it with the source code. Right now, it's still in progress and the code is buggy and uncompleted still. Btw, I have posted the death cam code at forge. It's not mine anyway, I just combine rubik's and martinF code.

@bunduqdari: good idea, I can add slider/key assignment to tune camera moving speed then. I'll take a look the posibility to realize that.

hey I remember that! When I was at the arena talking with the guy, I decided to leave the place manually(not pressing tab) by going downstairs to the door. When I went through the door I came to dream land, haha  :smile: With weird skybox and **** and the camera couldn't move. Funny.

I don't think you need a slider. You only need to make the camera move slower when the guy you are following makes a turn. So you only need to make it turn a little slower. If that's possible

OK, I'll tune the turning speed later, after tournament bet and additional kingdom heroes AI state finished.

Update :
  • Fix Castle/Town's passage glytch
  • Fix Battle Scene Generating, now really represents terrain of battle location. On older version, the terrain's type was correct, but it'svegetation and relief  still depend on main party's location.
  • Remove most of debug messages
