This is an old error coming with a warband patch, it is surprising to see it is still here, but it will be corected in the next version. As farr as i know, this error may also appear when you attempt to give centers to the lords once you make your own faction.

Attempted to fix it right know, there was an issue in scripts, and it needed a little extra line. Playtested and works with no flaws. There will be made further testings, but at the current moment i can say it is most likely FIXED (next version will include it).

Please report all bugs, especially scripting ones as they are the worst.

I like these muskets just because for their efficiency but if you will reduce their capabilities I will be compelling to return to my bow again.

It will not be reduced them too much... Just to keep the things a little bit more balanced.

As a matter of fact, i am playtesting a new faction at the current moment and some new bandit parties. In a battle i fought, 30 foot archers vs 35 musketeers, they were at parity. If a line of musketeers meets in battle some Amazon Headhuntresses or Vaegir Marskman or Rhodok Sharpshooters, the musketeers are likely going to loose, especially at closer ranges.

Anyway, they will be in shops, but made more expensive.

Which factions use muskets?

Currently, in this early Alpha version, the Swadians, Rhodoks, Arzawa, Sarranids. Also, musket cavalry or camel riders is to be found. Mercenaryes like Cossakcs and Pandur also use muskets, howewer they are not very good with them.
 
Hey mate, I am playing, and in Zarand Castle, from the Vladata Voivodate, inside the castle, there are " flying" flags/standards, so it is a minor texture thing, but when a player comes and sees a flying flag over the stairs, and two flying flags over the room, isn't cool. So if you can check this for next patch would be great.

Edit 2: In Arzawa Empire village called Sehaten, there is no village. If you choose option "go to the village center", what appears is a forest with no one, besides a man who says surrender or die, and he gives nothing, and his name is bugged also.
 
these are 2 items that will apear in next patch(one of them maibe youl see on some new tipe of outlaws)

the 2 items are final and will apear in next patch just like you see them
also as a new tipe of faction will be created il make some new unique wepons for them

dunno what to say about that Derra im not good at scriting but is clear somthing is missing in some condition but next realease will be much more complex..
is good you find some bugs in mod alex will fix them in next release
 
Also the dificulty of play for low lvl characters will be a bit high in next realease as some new tipes of outlaws(beter equiped) will roam the lands...
I want opinions abouth this thing(is good? is bad? you think will be interesting?)

Also, try to get married, if possible, in one of the new factions (not in Amazon one for now...).

Zarand Castle is bugged. Avoid sieging it, for now...Like a few Arzawan villages and a few Amazonian villages.
There will be fixed in next release.

This is problematic, i know of it...

Again on the character list, there is a " lady" called Peribsen, but when you open it, what you see is a bearded man even though the description is from a lady. I have nothing against gay people but I think this isn't on purpose :evil:

Correct this plzzz :wink:
 
I would change the loading screens, the pixelated amazon chicks and the kingdom of heaven screens kinda threw me off.

Edit: Speaking of Amazons, Alexandru are you going to change the shields and weapons of the Amazons? Because in my point of view, the weapons and shields of the amazons are too similar to the Nords. And we ( the players) want a new combat system different from the Nords, one original combat system that differs from the huskarls + archers line up.  It sounded me like a copy paste. But no problem, its alpha 0.10! You will have plenty of time to change it until official release  :cool:

Hmm, i will need to look into it. Anyway, in next version, you will see amazons married to man (called chieftains), but i still did not figure it out yet how to make a script to make the game engine read their "lords" as female and their "ladies" ... will figure it out eventually  :wink:

I agree, they will remain there for the moment. But the rest of the loading screens are subject to possible change. It seems for me that for the current moment, the Amazons are the main atraction of this mod, which is perfectly understandable why  :grin:

They are already changed for next version. You will see them fight with weapons more fit for girls and females such as spear, javelin, and some small swords for close combat. No more axe wielding amazons. I am going on the more or less realistic principle that "what weapons could a woman succsesfully use in combat", and i come to conclusion that she could use only light weapons, requiring less strenght but more agility, such as spears, javelins, short swords.

Addition of new extra troops for them is a possibility, considering the fact that most factions, especially the native ones, will come in next version with totally modified troop trees.

If the Heavens help me finish these exams in the following month, so after that i should really start working seriously and have a new release...  :wink:
 
Couple quick fixes I've seen.

Amazonian bows need to have their prices increased and their draw strength increased. As it stands, they are 55p and costing only around 2k with a draw 2. That overpowers every other bow I've seen so far

Their top tier armor (Queen Guard's) is +5/+55/+XX and costs 2.5K, far below any other armor of similar strength and weighs half as much, which I'm fine with if the price increases.
 
There will be much balancing.
I made Amazon bow strong, because Amazons have no cavalry and no guns... but i agree, it will be much harder to use. :wink:
 
Last thing, in some armor merchants there is a texture from an armor called " turk " something, can't recall the name atm, and it says it gives error, so neither can you see the armor nor buy/use it.
ok ive tested and yes is an armour turk2  thats spelled rong will be corect in next realease
The work on the mod will be low in next month as alex is taking his unioversiti degree exam and must study
This mod is evolving slowly but we want to make it as good as it can get..

The answer is during the summer holis period for next update (so late July/August time) due to creator having uni exams though (might be earlier if his exams are all early in the examination period) I doubt we be seeing non-alpha  for a while (though alpha and beta are semi-exchangeable IMO due to the over lap between the 2).

Never, ever, ask that to a modder.  :smile:

Anyway, as far as what has been posted here by the creators, the alpha 0.2 should be a major improve to alpha 0.1, so I'm happy.
 
Awesome mod so far, Will the head textures match up with the body in later releases? (Or is this just an issue on my end?) Anywho looking forward to future releases!
 
The problem with the head textures versus the body textures is that M&B armor replaces the entire torso so in order for it to match you either need to have everyone wearing the armor have the same skin tone like the amazons and valkyries in Wedding Dance (Except for some of the lords, and the leader of Orlan for some reason...) or you need to design different sets of armor for every skin color and then somehow make sure they always match up...  Also it probably doesn't help a huge lot that the those armors were designed for the original M&B.  They look great in that, but in this they look sort of out of place due to everything else being slightly more detailed.

Anyway in my opinion the mod looks pretty good, assuming a lot of this content is placeholders...  I do have a question about the Amazonians though.  In the current build they are all women, The lords all have wives, and daughters and sister in laws... and stuff...  I haven't played as a female but I assume that you can marry one of their fighting women if you do... so my question is, is this going to be changed so that males can marry any of the females. And so that there will be males for females to marry?  Or are all amazonians bisexual?

Oh yeah.... The masks are really creepy...  what's the story with those? :smile:
