Hey guys, you should look into altering the faces of everybody to a southeast asian ethnicity.

I think the AD1257 mod uses a face pack that has very realistic asian faces, you should look into that.

hi,rasiya. in Ayutthaya period,
is Chaokhun a archduke?
is Khun a baron?
is Luang a viscount?is Luang from chinese 郎(lang)?that means a young man
and Muen?10,000

hello everyone. i'm thai and i would like to help some translation.
in Thailand we have  difference of noble system. In Europe title is  descended by bloodline but Thai nobles are ranked by the king.
ShenJiBaMin, i think your are right about the noble titles.

Chaokhun is the highest class of noble just lower than the king , i think that would be archduke.
Luang is a count
Khun is a baron in my opinion.
Muen  is a Knight
which is  Chaokhun>Luang>Khun>Muen

Rasiya, this is the face pack I was talking about. It yields very good results. http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,163242.0.html

Hello and good day.

I am intifadanyz from totalwarcenter.net. Just call me Nyz.

I've been introduced to this mod by Mr. ShopperKimpy who advertised this forum in our development forum of Asean Total War (a submod intended to be built using Total War engine).

First, Good job to you all for producing and releasing such beautiful mod.

Thanks also for including my homeland and a Malay faction (namely the Johore Sultanate) in the mod.
[I am a Malay from you all neighboring country (well, that's Malaysia).]

Anyway, sorry for the intrusion, but my concern is about the Malay faction that intended to be put into this mod and I hope such faction will be portrayed correctly.

Well, if the team need help in that area, I'll help with what I can...

Hi Nyz. It would be great help you can help us with stuff about Johor.
Johor sultanate in SM 1.0 dosen't change so much from the native faction because we don't have much information about them ,for example their unique troop, weapon(we've already added kris), town name , noble name and etc.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. we will try to do it best (if we can)

Well, I am yet to grasp M&B engine itself.  So I am not sure about what thing (s) can be modded.

Well Shopper, some questions:

1. Are you all making unit names in their native tongue of in English?

2. How many units required?

3. How many town required?

4. How many noble titles required?

Anyway Mr. Shopper, Kris in Nusantara world was actually personal weapon, not the weapon mainly used for war. The main weapons for war were sword, spear, javelin, musket something like that.

Kris is like "secondary weapon".

Well, lets start with the lowest level (the peasants / villagers). Nusantara levy is typically like this:

Malaylowestlevel1.jpg

1. Plain Cloth Headgear or headband
2. Shirtless or plain shirt without sleeves
3. Personal weapon (s) such as Kris / Rencong / Badik at waist
4. Main weapon (s) such as sword / spear / javelin
5. Rattan shield or without shield
6. Plain Cloth Sarong or Sarong made from kain pelekat , wear from waist until knees / slightly lower (but not covering all leg)
7. Trouser

Somdech Chaophraya > Chaophraya/Chaokhun(?) > Phraya/Ookya > Ja muen > Lung > Khun > Muen (also means 10,000) > Pun (also means 1,000) > Nai

ps. I'm not sure about comparing with European title

1. we decided to use native tongue for unique troop ,for example we have Siamese archer, siamese swordman and Chathulungkhabath (guard of the elephant)

2. I'm not sure either our team can change unit upgrade tree ,so now we will try to modify current unit tree first.

Malay villagers wearing sleeveless shirt and triangular "Tanjak" headgear.

The triangular "Tanjak" is the simplest form of Malay headgear (beside headband) and used by commoners. It also easy to make and wear.

The second level semi-regular Malay troops:

4. Main weapon (s) such as spear / short sword / sword / musket / bow / javelin
5. Wearing Pelikat cloth at shoulder or sling it
6. Brass shield or more quality shield
7. The Sarong made from Pelikat
