are there any issues with the 1.43 version?

i heard that there are problems with the 1.34 diplomacy version if played with 1.43 warband version. was about missing items like gauntlets after a few days.
 
No bolts or arrows in shops. But I suppose this is a feature for all warband mods. But you can find them easily while looting


Ehmm .. i notice a nice bug ... jameyaad castle can be sieged but ... there's no a ladder to entry  :mrgreen:

As you may have noticed - i have currently no time to work on this mod. If you want i could provide you with the source-code (would make things also easier later to include your modifications if i should port the mod to the newest module system).

Armour and stats was an area i wanted to change, but never find the time for it.
I can update the main page with your modification too, so people will have it easier to check your work out.



About possible issues with 1.143 : I feel sorry if there are problems with the latest Warband build. Normally this shouldnt happen but it seems Taleworlds just screwed us a bit =P Like i said, i dont have time currently to port the mod to the newest version, so your best bet would be to use 1.134 Warband (the new things introduced in 1.143 wont work anyways)
Its strange to hear that there is a missing ladder in a siege scene - this is only happening with 1.143?
 
Well, the main problem is that I'm not a modder, I just manage some little tweaks with ad hoc programs and I'm not able to do anything more complex and I don't have the time to learn how to. So I will no be able to do nothing with the source code, sorry.

Sure you can use the troops in the first page, the mod is yours  :grin:. Don't forget to include (or to give instructions about) the Pino's resources and textures with my items1kind.txt file, otherwise things will be messed up. If you want, if I will add or tweak something I can send you the files. THis is the help I can give you.
Here the "final version" of the tweaks I did, alltogether.

Finally, I could suggest you to implement some siege packs, like the one from LAjeroas (http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=2694 this is surely compatible with warband even if I don't like the walls used in cities, but castles are fine), they will add more ladders making sieges harder and more interesting (I must admit that I don't know if you already implemented this in Scaedumar, since I've sieged only one castle  :mrgreen: - oh, siege scenes are ok, I just died before seeing the siege tower  :mrgreen:)
Furthermore, you could upgrade the viewable upgrade trees ingame

edit: on the first page use the megaupload link reported in this post, the other is obsolete and with some missing gears.
 
For I dunno whatever reason, sarranid horsemen and mamlukes did not have saved stats buffs, so they were very underpowered.
I promise this is the last fix  :razz:

This mod is really awesome. I think it's the best expanded native mod out there.

But I think that I've got a bug. After visiting a Nord lady for the first time, I was immediately asked by her if I wanted to marry her. I didn't even have outstanding relations with her family. And this was only the second time that we've spoken each other, since a feast you see.

I don't know whether this has been in Native WB before, I'll check that out.

and for those looking for wound information, go to reports/character and it tells you what body part wounded, how long to recover and how many healing herbs you have. to attempt to heal, go to camp menu/take an action/attempt to heal player wounds

I'm experiencing this in desert still. I read the code to insert in scripts.txt but the code posted by npm78 is a dozen lines long, while the one already written in the scripts file is only 3 lines long. Will that work, so can I replace the text or is there any issue to take care of ?
 
@robis: i would say just try it out, if they added more lines to the script which caused the bug to appear, then the txt files will also have more lines in it... just make a backup and try.
 
So, the script works. Loot is available in desert now and, moreover, if you threat a caravan it won't try to give you 10 denars as it did before: now offers will be much higher and dependant on your party and level.
I think you may want to release a beta 2.0 version with the script corrected and, if you want, with the reworked troop trees included. This means you need to implement pino's resources and textures folders.
This is a very good mod and it needs attention :mrgreen:
 
:oops: i really dont want to dissapoint you, but i am currently knee-deep in the development of PoP4 with lots and lots of tasks waiting for my attention... there are also some other little side-projects which want to see the day-light till the end of the year and i have only a limited amount of time to do this all...
Currently i cant really say when i find the time to work again on this mod.
If i find the time you can be sure to see some nice upgrades (a friend is working on retexturing native houses with Polished Buildings Textures for example) but till then you are kind of doomed to do the modding yourself.
 
Some files like scripts.txt can be changed without source and re-compile? Scaedumar source is not open?

 
If you want I can upload all the mod folder I have in a zip file and you upload it on repository.
 
@Toredain: Tweaking text files is always kind of limited (especially with fixing bugs or adding new things).
If there is interest i can provide the source code for the latest build. I always wanted to make it open-source but till now there was no one interested in the code.

Concerning your modifications, I didn't understand exactly what are the options :
1. use pino pack and the new troops and parties
2. use pino pack and the new troops and parties AND your tweaks (new profeciencies etc...)
Did I read well ? Because I would like to try your new troops and parties but not yet the tweaks (maybe independantly).

Hey Pino, I've already told you once that you armors are awesome and fix 100% with the atmosphere of the game, expecially this mod ! So I used those to improve my own gameplay and decided to share here for others. Of course,  I just put thing alltogether and tweaked parties and troops. All credits are to Abhuva for the mod and to you for your pack.
Concerning the options:
1) to play with the gear/stats/trees rework what you need is to put in Scaedumar folder the items1kind.txt, troops.txt and partytemplates.txt included in my upload. This is ALL you need to have the reworked troops working ingame.
2) furthermore I did some very little tweaks, for example reducing the max player stats for ironflesh, shields and somthing else and some other things I dont remember. They are very little and oriented to a more challenging game experience. Since I'm not a modder and I used TweakMb tool I don't know which files have been modified. So I included all text files. But they are not mandatory, game will work anyway.
So yes, you read well.

One note. I modified a little the stats of some of your armors, specifically I increased the body armor of your leather_banded_armor since I used it for lvl 21 nord footman and for the highest tier rhodok sharpshooter, and I needed a bit more armor to keep the balance. What is important is to use my itemskind1.txt and not yours because , even if items are the same,if you change the file you will probably change gear order and everything will mess up

Finally you may want to replace some lines in scripts.txt with those posted by npm78 and reported by me some posts ago, since they fix loot in desert.
I think I'm going to upload my whole Scaedumar folder with the scripts fixed and your vol2 inside, to make things simple , even if they are not hard at all :mrgreen:.
 
Excellent mod really.You added all features that are for my taste.There is one bug(someone mentioned it above) about "Visit lady" quest,where you need to talk to her twice to solve the quest,because first menu that appears is not appropriate(it's like when you're talking to a king or some of the lords) but no big deal!
Any chance of adding some new factions,one or two maybe?

Or maybe she just loved the way I handled my big, long sword in the tournaments.. Either way, I haven't seen this in native as of yet.  :razz:

I had that as well, but indeed, it's not a big deal. The courtship menu makes up for it. :grin:
