[S] Historic Castles Project - the British Isles [Released for Warband]

Let's face it: most native castles are little toy models that don't really resemble historic castles.
So I've had some fun making a few castles from history only using the items already in Warband. That's a challenge 
And thought I'd offer them as resource for modders interested in Britain around the years 1066-1300
- or to anyone kind enough to try them out and give feedback.
They're just remade native castles and castle interior and dungeons are left untouched; they don't interest me.

It's a fascinating period and so the castles are mostly Norman motte & bailey castles.
They're not exact replicas but meant to look so much alike that it's believeable.

Those are some really nice castles! Glad to see some proper ones.
Let's hope more people will feel OBLIGATED! to make castles of that quality for other time periods.

Thanks a lot. I just uploaded screenshots of Pevensey and Carlisle castle.
Pevensey is pretty standard but has an interesting history during the Norman invasion.

York castle is also done, it's huge - a little surprise for later (I'm tired of taking screenshots now  )

I'll upload them sometime tomorrow or the day after.

I'm mostly interested in British/Norman castles around 1066-1300,
but also from earlier periods - I just don't have much knowledge of fortifications before William came

Just one suggestion: Could you make castles for around 1200? Europe 1200 and 1257 BC need them...

Heh, each one was more 'my favourite' than the last. These are very nice. However, I fear for how well the AI play on them.

Just one suggestion: Could you make castles for around 1200? Europe 1200 and 1257 BC need them...

I don't really do requests, but 1257 would be late Norman castles.
So if you have some good sources/models/pictures of castles from that time it would be nice.

York and Carlisle castle would suit the 1257 mod I think.

... I fear for how well the AI play on them.

I've tested them quite extensively and the AI works just as fine - and bad - as native
