Edits Rhodok infantry line to make them more effective in combat. However, Rhodok soldiers will become more susceptible to projectile fire. Included is an optional items file making some modifications to polearms.
To install, simply dump the files into C:/Program Files/Mount&Blade Warband/Modules/Native/. This address will be different if you have your M&B directory in a different location, but it will still be in .../Mount&Blade Warband/Modules/Native/. You may want to consider making a backup of the files in that folder, in case you want to remove this mod.

Probably compatible with savegames.
 
What are the main changes for the rhodoks, is it just the no shields thing or have u changed the stats aswell?
 
So that means the game won't be getting updated until September?  Hopefully we'll get source code for the Module System.
 
Ah, I was going to do that, but I forgot.  :oops:

Rhodok Spearman - boosted proficiency (around 80) power strike 1, athletics 1, shield 1
Rhodok T. Spearman - Around 90 Proficiency, pstrike 2, athletics 2, shield 2
Rhodok V. Spearman - Around 100 proficiency, pstrike 3, athletics 2, shield 3. Weak cloth armors, clubs, swords and two handed pikes removed. They now all wear mail body armor and use spears and one-h pikes.
Rhodok Sergeant - Around 120 proficiency, pstrike 3, athletics 3, shield 4, ironflesh 3.


Rhodok Crossbow tiers - Nothing really changed except gave them athletics.
 
But I noticed an entry for Rhodok deserters, which is after Rhodok messenger, which is after Rhodok sharpshooter, which is the last troop type to have any changes with Fei Dao's code.
 
Really? An entry in troops.txt called Rhodok Deserter? Or were you looking in parties.txt? I wouldn't think that there would be a separate troops, since the deserter parties are made up of a random type of faction troop. I'll need to look at that.
 
I've seen it there as well, but I think it's just an unused troop; kind of like Faction Messengers or Rhodok Veteran Crossbowman.

Rhodok Deserters as troops are an unused troop - Armagan was probably thinking of making deserters as a unique troop, but he decided against in the end apparently.

One thing that recently just annoyed me is that all prison guards and castle guards look like the old Vaegir Guards. (With the exception of Swadians, which look like the old sergeants with plate armor and all)

So, I gave them some different gear:

Just a note: Prison guards and Castle guards don't DO anything other than having some dialog and sit around the prison and castle gates. You don't recruit them or use them in your party.
 
No, the game won't screw up if you did this.

In fact, I had done this already for the last release, turing the Rhodoks into a firearm using group faction.

It worked well and was really cool! :smile:

What did it do to the balance of the Rhodocks? Did they become better overall as a faction or not?
 
This is interesting, will it work for 955 as well? I'm reluctant to update because my brother has a really good game going on.
If it does work for 955 what could happen if I screw up?

It should work with .955 as well. It should also work with savegames, but I'm not sure.

In case you screw up, make a backup of your troops file.
