Actually I find this mod to be the most fun of all released WB mods. I think you should have this topic moved, I have found this mod by mistake :smile:. So in mods directory, more people will find it and have fun with it. It would be nice if you could upload this mod to MB repository.
 
I agree - I haven't tried your mod but I haven't tried any actually, waiting for more close-to-finished projects, but yours is high on my list to try.  You should definitely have this moved to released mods.
 
I have some questions:
1)Are changes in 0.5.3 savegame compatible (my version is 0.4.6)?
2)What version of files are you using? I have found some bugs ingame that were solved in later versions (ie. the two pages income bug, no choices if the king refuse to give you conquered fief)
It would be nice if you can update the files (If it is possible, I know that the module system is 1.05 but I dont know if you are using it)
 
1) no
2) was built from 1.11, but has the updated items models from 1.13 - porting is something im going to look into before i release 1.0, have no experience in that area/using the module system.


haven't had the chance to do a proper play through myself as when i test it i find something i can change then tend to do so - meaning my previous save doesn't work
- any more info u can give me on the bugs you find would be helpful, i may be able to fix them without porting




how you guys can help; cheatmenu only shows the first 597 items, currently i have 635 items - anyone know how to make the rest of the items purchasable via cheat menu?

makes you able to kit yourself out as a spartan, its compatible with my mod if you follow the instructions to add to, troops.txt, items.txt & module.ini

models are a bit bright and not as detailed as the new warband ones and the skin tones don't quite match but hey, is it only me that has been waiting to use the Warband

i haven't actually tested the Kit yet, but it should work when i had it built at a module worked fine, only reason the kit wouldn't work is if i missed out adding something. so if you download it, can you please just confirm it works for me - if it doesn't ill fix it asap

It's not very nice to steal other people's armor and claim it as your own.
Ask for permission and give credit, always.

i never claimed the models to be my own, all the models in the mod aren't mine.  about 'claim it as my own' the only thing used from other peoples work is models, i still have to edit the brfs. " old shields and helmets :razz: " <- insinuating..... although i can see your point i never had Caps denouncing the models as not my own, rectified?

as i said it was a request, and still took me about 50 mins to make the readmes/kit, re-compile the brf.s (formatted in an odd way) i can break that down for you even more if u like to see why each part was so time consuming coupled with my brf editor not working correctly. point I'm trying to make here is it was a fair bit of work.

-"ask permission" at 3am for a dead mod, yeah ill probably get a response with in the next couple of years. and what reply to the thread saying I've made the gear u wanted but i can't upload it because the person who made it hasn't given the green light, although correct me if I'm wrong but it technically belongs to Taleworlds.

- "credit", the front page for this mod isn't even finished, was originally a mod i made for myself which i then shared with a mate who recommended i upload so yes when its finished ill get around to trying to find every single item I've used from another mod and every tutorial I've read or person who gave a helpful reply to enquirers i made, but honestly I've got a 1man inexperienced team (stared modding April 16th) and seeing as it in no way helps my mod to be better it really isn't that high

if it will make u happy, credit to my mother for enabling me to be conscious while making this kit, credit to my comfy chair for providing a relaxing support through this process, credit to logitech for supplying me with a top notch mouse and keyboard allowing me to make this kit a reality, taleworlds for etc............................. cbfa with this point anymore.... last but not least Samsung where would i be without your awesome visual representation of my efforts.

I know i'm being ridiculous but the objective was more to make a point; maybe next time ask me, and you would have got the answerer "the models are from the peloponnesian war, which was made in 08 for M&B vanillia hence why they look soo shiny, i just ported them over and gave them use able" or something similiar

There was a mod for the original MnB that let you play as Spartans, and any of the other city-states that existed around the time.  I forget what it was called though.

Also im updating the front page with screenshots - only of the units that lords will use. (swadians done), troops trees already done

I am about to start playing, I usually play Nords (I used to like Rhodoks.. but they always sucked).
 
Dunno if this has been suggested before, but i think you should include more low level units in the mod. As now the second tier already have complete armors....
 
Fan of having new units/unit trees, not a fan of the helmets the swadian knights are wearing in the screenshots...  Otherwise, this looks like a good start for a mini-mod  :grin:
 
sarranid troop tree done. units are made just messing about with stats.

what do people want next khergits, or shall i re-quip all the done factions lords, so far i've changed the kings but no the lords

Swadia;
King - full plate set, winged great helmet, knightly heater shield, great lance, bastard sword & plated charger.
Lords - full plate set, great helmet, knightly heater shield, heavy lance, bastard sword & swadian war horse.

Rhodoks;
King - Rhodok Guard Equipment, great lance & barded war horse.
Lords - Mix of guards/battle guards
- thinking i should get a new helmet for rhodok nobles

Vaegirs;
King -  Vaegir elite armour, war mask, lamellar gloves, splinted greaves, great bardiche, great lance & Vaegir war horse
Lords - the same without a great lance?

Nords;
King -  Berserkers Helm, Cuir bouilli, gauntlets, iron greaves, great long axe, heavy throwing axes, huscarls shield & charger.
Lords - mix of Huscarals, Berserkers & varangians?

Sarranids:
King - Mamluke mail, plate boots + gloves, immortals helmet, elite cavalry shield, great lance, sarranid cavalry sword & golden war horse.
Lords - half Janissaries, half immortals



if you've got 'better' or 'other' ideas on what to equip the factions lords with, please share
 
are you sure your pressing the right keys? its a default setting - not somthing iv'e added


- you need to be on the map screen
- press [CTRL] and [¬`¦] (that key should be to the left of your [1] key)

now a box will appear and yout type 'CHEATMENU' in there, then click camp.

tell me where its not working for you
 
any update on next release?  I am about to install for the first time but if an update is coming out tomorrow I would rather wait.
 
wait, ive got sarranids done just messing about trying to get them balanced ish, ill upload within an hour - can balance more for next release

Sorry to be complaining already after playing for 5 minutes but do you think it would be possible to include your version of how you see your mod (Black Sky) and maybe a more vanilla version without the really high shield durability, repeating/sniper crossbows, really high ammo count, and no firearms?  I love the troops and new looks but the rest of the additions are not for me unfortunately.  I know its alot to ask for but it would make your mod have more appeal to a wider range of people imo.  Regardless this will be a mod I will play in the future when I want something to spice up the vanilla game play.
