When starting the game the load slows down a lot at the loading textures part, takes a couple of minutes to get past it. Then, i can get through character creation and at the last continue, when i should get into the actual game, i get a runtime error. I did a fresh install of warband+viking conquest. I reinstalled all the visual studio versions. I can run Native just fine and when i played Brytenwalda a while back i had no problems with it either.

this is the RGL Log, on this one i tried to just connect to a multiplayer server since it was faster than going through the whole character creation:

Yeah I can't start singleplayer and multiplayer too. It doesn't start after character creation, and in multiplayer it says I need new dx, but when I downloaded it, same thing happened. Really buggy DLC, they should optimise it better, I hope they will.
 
Well i have the latest directx installed, i'm running it on windows 7 it's not like i can even uninstall it in the first place. I'm not rushing anyone, i'm just curious if they can tell me what the issue is.

Said this to a few people now. Try this http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,131274.0.html It's to help 32 bit computers (you have to not mind modifying some things in command prompt, though).

Said this to a few people now. Try this http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,131274.0.html It's to help 32 bit computers (you have to not mind modifying some things in command prompt, though).

Tried everything there and it did not fix the problem. I still crash every time, now i get an "error loading postfx shaders". I don't have any issues like this with any other game, and i play quite a few that i'd say are more resource intensive, except for Viking Conquest and a couple of other Warband mods.

With both use_ondemand_textures_mt = 0 and use_ondemand_textures = 0 it crashes on the first loading screen.

With use_ondemand_textures_mt = 1 and use_ondemand_textures = 0 it just crashes at the first loading screen near the end.

With use_ondemand_textures = 1 and  shaders off textures don't properly load but it did manage to get me in-game, however everything is white, there's just names and outlines and in the end it crashes with an "Unable to lock Graphic Buffer" error. This is the RGL Log for this last try:

i think the "rgl_warning:  Shader could not be found: dot3_multitex " is caused by turning vertex shader off.

Any other suggestions i could try or should i just wait for a possible fix? :smile:

I'm happy to say there's some improvement with the Hotfix. I managed to get to the tutorial in Story Mode and finish it, however it crashed aftwerwards when i exited the healer's house. I then tried sandbox and didn't crash on the world map, i moved around for a bit, it was kinda laggy, however when i tried to enter my first town i got a new runtime error:

I'v already tried, again, with no success sadly, but thanks. I guess i'l just wait for the next patch. Like i said it's already an improvement so i'm hopeful the next patch might fix the issue completely.
