It would be an interesting new idea to include the kings or emperors  children as npcs and maybe make them marriable, since they are the children of royalty maybe you would need to have more reputation with them first?

Boring game mechanic that only offers flavor text and novelty that wears off after 5 minutes.

This is more likely to be added, marrying a prince/princess is a great idea that adds depth/immersion, and another way to gain power. Don't know what's bad about it

Besides the novelty of marrying a 7 year old, what other gameplay mechanics will marrying a child do that already marrying a normal female does not provide?

"Child" doesn't imply any specific age in this context, Rainbow Dash. It simply denotes a familial relation.

Nobody said a literal child and I think it's quite obvious, again boring complains

"Son" and "Daughter" would be a much better word.
"Child" is the most appropriate word, as it covers both sons and daughters with a single term. Of all the things you could get defensive about...

Look at the Empire blog. There's already at least one royal child that will probably be a character, and why not make them marriable if they exist? I'm assuming either they're already "marriageable age" or time progresses fast enough that a "child" matures fast enough.

I would like player could select to be one of the emperor’s children during character create stage.

Perhaps a storyline?

If there are families and generational progression in Bannerlord (fingers crossed), it would be most critical for ruling families. I also hope that the player will be able to exert political influence on marriages, for himself or his children.

A week ago was discussion about a storyline mode, going for one-two times, but I starting as emperor'son will be typically as in Total War games and CK2

maybe he wants to play as the secret bastard son that will unity the nobles against his evil stepmother (who he will accuse of murdering his father). Drama 101.

Yep  :fruity:

Weren't it confirmed a while back that we could indeed play as our children and build up our family ? Hope this haven't been retconned!
But yes marrying royalty should be extremely hard but rewarding! Like the king would only accept if he likes you + you're a high noble/Have a high renown. I mean if you're the most famous person in the world who's won every single tournament ever held that should make it easier.

yeah frank said something and in the PC gamer April Issue was something and there was s.... about dynasties and its confirmed that there is an aging system so why not children =?

I certainly wouldn't jump to conclusions, assume that anything not explicitly confirmed by the new CM has been either changed, scrapped, or was never a thing.

Royal marriage is a very big thing... in real life, it can mean the difference between thousands of deaths and the extermination of clans or it can mean peace and unity in many countries and peoples. Back in the old days when European people actually had morals based around honor, family and faith, royal marriages were incredibly important for a clan's survival or to overcome a greater enemy.

When men of wide talents are married into the royal blood of a family... either a time of great chaos or great good can come... but either way... greatness will come
