Round the World!! - Diplomacy/Conquest game - UPDATE 1

The United States fully reveals that it has the beginnings of a full Army division established. It requests that its allies reveal their military power, as a strike against one is a strike against all, and the power of NATO must be consolidated as the dominant military power in this new world as soon as possible, to ensure that the United Nations has a military branch to ensure world peace.

Republic of Ireland reveals it has the beginnings of a Navy task force in construction with some ground elements also coming into completion.

"...to ensure the US knows what size it's peace-keepin' truncheon is."

My fear has come true.
The USA, under their new leader, are planning to conquer the world. First step, find out how many troops their enemies have using vile tricks.

As you said that some players fell away, is there space to join? I am on every day.

When will the UN meeting be? I would like to propose that a UN Peacekeeping force be established, with troops voluntarily given to it. The purpose of this unit can be decided upon at the meeting, but I'd like to hear the opinions of the other nations on the matter now (it makes the meeting go smoother).

The United States will supply soldiers as it sees fit. It is also willing to supply General Cliff to command the peacekeepers, when it commits soldiers to a peacekeeping operation.

@MaHuD: Send me a PM with some nation details, and I'll get on it when I get home from school.

A peacekeeping force is a good idea, but I shall call when I need to, and not before.

Erm... I declare this meeting, IN SESSION!!.

So just spout ideas, conduct diplomacy, and generally beat up N.K.

If I may have the floor momentarily, I would like to make a few proposals:
1. Amongst other duties to be decided, I propose that the UN Peacekeeping Force should be deployed in the defense of nations that suffer from surprise attacks. This should allow formal wars between willing combatants to occur unhindered, while protecting all nations from unprovoked attacks.
2. As I mentioned, and President *****es stressed, all UN Peacekeeper Forces should be supplied voluntarily. I am opposed to any nation being forced to surrender military forces unwillingly. I would like for all forces given to be permanently assigned to the UN, however. This prevents any nation from withdrawing support and then acting against the weakened UN.
3. I would also like to propose that the world switch over to an economic policy similar to CoWS. This will allow a universal currency and ensure compatibility between nations when trade is conducted. I feel this will help to pave the way for Utopia.
4. I would like to request a ban on undeclared Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs). I have no complaints about nations creating them, but I would like for those cards to be on the table for all to see. We've already seen that secretive approach lead to global destruction, and I feel that they will better serve as a deterrents if they are known factors.

1. No
2. Yes if 1 passes
3. Yes
4. No
I hereby create the Asian Axis (AA) along with my trusty ally Japan.
Any other Asian nations are welcome to join, only requirement is that you are not a *****.

My proposals:
1. I think we should limit stronger country's military such as the USA. They will become way to powerful and so I suggest they have a limited army.

I'm against the idea of limiting the freedoms of other nations. Unless they proven to be untrustworthy, I see no need for sanctions to be placed against any nation.

4.For now there won't be any WMDs, but I'll introduce them as soon as we're all comfortable with the game.
3. Up to you guys, but it couldn't hurt.
2. IF you give them to me, they're mine.
1. Yes, any unprovoked attacks will be met with resistance from the UN. Also, any countries not willing to participate in wars will be under UN protection. Countries may surrender to an attacking or defending force whenever they choose. The "loser" may be forced to pay reparation costs.

1.- Yes.
2.-Yes.
3.-No, because you don't trust them yourselves.
4.-Ban? What did you mean?

What do you mean? I wholeheartedly endorse my economic strategy! Why, by pursuing it I've even improved the economic output of Monaco even further.
Side note: If something is in double brackets, that's because it's out of character. I do encourage everyone to review my policies of course, though I'm sure you'll all agree that it's the surest way to turning our ruined Earth into a paradise.

As in, make having undeclared WMDs forbidden. I don't mind nations having them, but I would like for them to be announced. I don't want a rival nation to launch a sneak attack and provoke nuclear retaliation. Fallout travels downwind, and WMDs are based on collateral damage at their very core.

As a CoWS alliance member, I totally agree with Shatari. He is the man. And should distribute a large portion of future conquers to me.

Also: I propose free ownership of the seas, if that is not in place already. Casus belli given as trepassing on "my patch of the deep blue" will not be accepted. However, moving a threatening amount of warships near the coastline could be viewed as a hostile action.

That sounds fair, and 'Tari, I didn't post it earlier, but ALL nukes will be announced, and I will keep an inventory of them, which I will post in updates.
