All countries are represented through the UN, but I like your idea as well. I've been thinking (There's a first time for everything) and I thought I would move the cap on members from 5 to 10. Opinions? Poll coming.
I'd love that! It might leave some of the alliances underpowered, but there would still have to be at least three active ones so things would remain rather balanced. I also hate the thought of turning someone away just because I hit a magic number of people.
That was my initial thought, though it might turn the game into just three Alliances just slugging it out with each other, with those with the biggest armies winning. By keeping the Alliances smaller, I'm making the game more diplomatically reliant, because there are many more threats.

Bah, Monaco's policy is one of armed pacifism. There's far better things to do with the world than kill everyone on it. Through peaceful understanding of our peers, we can build a better future for everyone. <3

If it gets to be a problem, you can always allow malcontents to split off into splinter groups. You can also let other players join in once you've gotten the hang of things, which would shift the balance of power even more.
