Rough tied bracers OP?

Seeing plenty of armors with strange stats, which i'm sure they'll get to, but 0.8 weight Rough tied bracers with 30 defense compared to some 2+ weight chain gloves giving much less defense than that.

Also seeing chest armors being much heavier for the protection they provide. The starter battanian gear (rough woodland garments) is the best there is as far as weight/defense goes imo weighing a measly 1 pound while providing adequate chest/arm/leg protection, I never had a reason to replace them

There´s definitely a need for some more balancing for armor. Right now it feels very much like you´re just upgrading armor to something better until you get the best armor. There needs to be more reason to use different armors to promote different playstyles.

It can be better made and better materials and not need to be as heavy. But really I have no idea, I'd like more and better armor though, in multiple games it's rare to get armor equal to AI lords.

Bracers are also about 5000 denars, while warlord gauntlets are heavier, have 5 armor less and cost 3 times more. Doesn't make any sense.

Personally, I don't want fantasy RPG elements where we have "barbarian" equivalent of fighters running in less armor. Better armor should always be better, though slow down the movement speed (just as it is now, IIUIC). I don't mind at all if people want to run with less armor to be more agile, perhaps using a longer reach weapon and trying to keep distance, but I'd prefer the game to be based on realism (to a degree) whereas people who had access to heavy armor used heavy armor (according to the 'experts' I've seen on YT at least).

With this (slightly off topic) said, I do agree those leather hand protection thingies at 30 armor are not easily replaced and remained on my char to the end.

well they have athletic advantage.. xD if you're not able to pull your falx man back into the forrest and do not flank archers this will be a problem ^^

i agree on this leather bracers giving to much amor and weight value.

Maybe they implement loot cand craft quality to justify some sort of items.

I remember in wb when i found a masterfully crafted wool hat it had like 18 defence it was just hularious and fun,i think they should implement that too eventhough it is not realistic at all^^

If weight actually mattered. I don't think gear weight really effects anything at this point of early access. Our Skill level of running and horsemanship seem to be the only thing that is working as far as effects on our speed and agility.

Not just armor but weapons and shields too there are stil a lot of cases where the lower tier is better or at least on par with supposedly higher tier weapons.

Yes. A lot of items' stats don't make any sense.
Yes, my list:

1) Lamellar armor with armor less then a mail or even leather. It is a joke.
2) Nothern lamellar with 1.9 ! weight
3) Southern lamellar with 5.9 weight

Lamellar should be something between mail and plate as it was IRL

I don't want troops of northern cultures like Sturgia and Battania running around topless in snowy winter battles.

There needs to be balancing for everything. Right now even with weapons, nothing really feels like much of an actual upgrade. In one way it is kind of nice that you can kind of choose what weapons you want independent of stats but in other ways it sucks that the only different in one hand swords for example is one has a 112 reach with 89 swing, while another has 110 reach with 91 swing. I would love to see some great variations than that.

Yeah, stats for alot of the weapons and armor don't make much sense, I tend to wear leather armor that weighs very little, costs very little yet has better stats than most of the mail armor and cost 10x as much.

Still I can live with this for now if they are working on more content...rather that than balancing this tbh

Less about making sense, more simply, and MOST probably, typos made during data input.

These minor stuff are usually the last to be fixed, so just enjoy them nice bracers for the time being.

Weight does seem to effect how fast you move on foot, at least that is my experience.

It's most certainly unintentional, they're 30 defense (higher than anything other than lamellar plate), cost only 5k (for comparison 23 defense bracers cost 22k lol) lightweight and can be used as civilian for some reason.

If it bothers you then for now just don't use em.
