Rome Total War!

I DL'ed the Total realism mod and now have all new factions, I would highly suggest doing that.
Does it work with just Rome: Total War ... or do you also need the new expansion?
The reason I ask is that I loved RTW and played it for quite some time ... but haven't bought the expansion because I figure it will soon get old again.

I never downloaded any mods...to be honest i didn't know how. I just did a bit of text editing to allow me to play all the factions.
I think Europa Barbarorum is going to blow RTR out of the water. Chiv and 4th age look great as well.
Laurence, RTR, and most of the big mods, are really really easy to install, and they make the game sooo much better. Really, I'd have wanted my money back for RTW if it hadn't been for the modding scene.

Oh, I almost forgot: I'm also very much looking forward to Napoleonic: Total War 2.

Err, why not.
Nairgorn, apart from playing games, im a spak in all aspects of computers. I really don't have a ****ing clue how to get mods to work. Some tried to explain it to me once, but i still couldn't do it.

It is a good game. Really, it is.
People make it out to be better than, in my opinion, what it really is ... yet still, it is a good and enjoyable game.
I'm thinking of trying to find it and reinstall it so that I can try the above-mentioned mod. Just sounds like a lot of work though ... not sure I'm that interested with all of the new games starting to come out.

Well, RTR's pretty easy for one. You download the executable, point it to your RTW directory, and click install.

Gotta change some file from True to False too.
I think they fixed that with 6.1.
So truthfully, you have to download and run two executables. RTR 6.0 and then the 6.1 patch.
Still not too hard. If you were able to install M&B you probably have the skills nessecary to install RTR.
