Roguery - how to improve?

So how do you improve Roguery skills?
I never put too much effort to improve it, I noticed every time I sell looted items in towns I gain Rougery skills points

It said you can improve by
"raiding carvarn" - But it will lost relationship point with the "artisian" or whoever the guy in town, so does it mean I have to play the bad bandit to raid , gain Rouguery points, then improve relationship by completing task ??? that's lots of works.......

"escape capture" - well I don't want to be captured and escape...... duh?? how stupid would I be if I keep get captured and escaped??

so the only good way is to "convert bandit units and lead them", which I did tried, but I don't see I gain significant points by doing so....

so how can you improve Roguery skills??

Selling prisoners is the easiest way to get a constant flow of roguery XP.

Prison breaks give a lot of it but they're more risky.
Prison breaks are difficult at the moment, because AI lords don´t put their noble captives into prison for some reason. First and only noble prisoners I recently saw where held in a city that recently revolted.

You can raid villages too. As long as you don't need the troops, there's no reason to care about your relations with those village notables.

Getting Mercy -1 doesn't really hurt you that much and makes a lot of conversation checks much, much easier to pass.

thanks, I found out I can sell expensive items to villiage, then loot those items back and gain rougury points

haha that's much better way to loot

For an easy start if you're not looking to exploit the game, find a village that sells horses and kill them when they're going to town.

but attack villiagers will increase criminal ratings, right?? lose relationship point with notables?

why sell horse?? my understanding is, if we loot more expensive items from them, we get more rouguery points, right???

Yeah killing the villagers will tick of the notables. You want to do horse villagers because they're typically worth more than other junk villages make. There are much better ways to grind out roguery, but early game it's easy to catch these villagers with a small party or solo and gain 9-10 points of roguery at a time.

Totally vanilla there are some easy options.
1. Cheese it. You gain points directly tied to the value of the items stolen. Trade with a village/caravan and replace their inventory with a load of super expensive weapons/horses. Now Rob them and instantly max the stat with enough value. Villager groups haul the villages entire inventory of superweapons. This also provides mass xp and levels any party leaders if in an army to instantly train a rogue companion.
2. Farming jailbreaks. Join warring kingdom as merc and capture enemy nobles, higher rank the better. Now jail them and wait a few days if you want to get paid for influence. End contract and unjail the guy you just put away. You are now farming Roguery, Charm, and gaining mass relationship via Stockholm syndrome. I bullied Penton and he later wouldn't stop asking me for an alliance.
3. Partners in crime loop. Any mission that spawns bandits now creates free troops. Take escort caravan mission and ride ahead to intercept the 40 man bands of pillagers and instantly convert them to free albeit terrible calvary 4-5 times in about a week. If working for kingdom you can also donate them to garrisons for free influence. Help with Brigands quest also disables bandit groups ability to flee including step bandits.

Getting captured by looters is good
despite you not seeing any improvements
but you could just raid caravans from a rebel faction
so your limiting your rep loss to a single town
