Okay one last update before I stop spamming

There is now a donation button located on the OP and an awareness spoiler, to display known issues and the like. To add, during testing, I did notice that pings are unstable, but seems to have very little effect on gameplay at all, if any. Still going to be trying to resolve the issue, but the server seems rock solid so far. If any other settings are wrong or anything strange aside from things we already are aware of is happening, let me or any other admin know.

I will also be changing the poll. The results and feedback for the current topic is are inconclusive, but I will still be entertaining the possibility of opening more servers. If you would like to discuss either the newest poll, or about server opening, please send me a PM or chat with me on steam.

Thanks for support, and I hope the success of my previous server can carry on to this one. Still no word on when Marnid will shake off the rust however.

Server seems to be stable enough. I'm open to hosting any events revolving around the Royale mod, or any serious dueling tournaments.

In short, I don't think that the apparent lack of success of Commi's idea is any indicator of its viability. I think it needs a formal competitive event (a ladder) and a ruleset that encourages activity. And of course a good server with the module running on it (although I think it's possible to pull it off without a custom module).

Build it, and they will come.

It is possible to do it without a custom module, I think. I'm not sure on the scripting for the chat commands used to register yourself in the database or check your stats, but in theory all you'd need to gather data is something to parse out IDs from the kill/death log. After you have the data collected, it's manipulated externally.

The idea is to make it as lightweight as possible, so that the server isn't wasting too many resources making complex stat calculations when it should be handling the game.

Adding that kind of stuff is harder than warband-contained custom mods, but don't let me discourage anyone from trying if you can find (or become) someone who's able to figure it out. Could also attempt some kind of tournament/league/ladder "manually" via the forums, which might generate some interest. But that takes people willing to both run it and participate in it, not sure what the NA duel population is like currently.

PS. I vote for adding the armory expansion so I can test my plans to run a knife fighting tournament... 
(If you actually do I could make it compatible with whatever other mods you want to run)

It probably wasn't the server it was probably me i been having bad ping since 2 days ago.

But yes this server is amazing!, I love the tunics and love the maps all that 1st to 7 mode etc.

Well, if you're renting a gameserver (without a shell account), you could ask the provider about the possibility of an auto-restart. With a shell account and Linux/Unix, make a cron job. With Windows, schedule a task.
