River of Blood and Merchant Searches/Controls

I love the new maps. Well they are better than the old maps. What I really like is the water. Every time I cross a stream I look at the stones at the bottom of the water and say, "Man I'm thirsty for some of that cool clean water."

And after hacking to death a couple hundred men (and women) right in that very stream the water is just as clean and inviting and I ask myself, "Why isn't the river running red with blood?" This is totally BS!

My second suggestion has to do with finding weapons. I've spent the last 1000 days in-game trying to equip my men (and women) with the very best weapons I could find. Sadly, I can't be everywhere at once. I have a kingdom to manage after all.

Wouldn't it be nice, once I owned my own Town, if I could get my merchants to search for these weapons for me?  I still need another 3 or 4 Balanced Spiked Maces to give my companions and a Masterwork Elite Scimitar (if they even make one) for myself. Those merchants go all over the place and they could find it and buy it for me for a small finders fee.

Lastly, I don't think merchants make me enough money. It would be cool to create my own merchant caravan.  Using a similar option like "form patrol" (which can be found in Diplomacy Mod), I can put the kind of troops I want into the caravan and select the trade goods to buy in various towns and send this caravan on it's way.  The caravan will carry a sizable amount of Denars and various trade goods that could all be lost if they are attacked by bandits or a rival kingdom.  I could also give them orders to assist Lords if they are in battle.

The cost for this caravan would be the cost of the troops I put in and 500 Denars a week for the Caravan Master.  This money goes for his salary, equipment like wagons and such, and food and supplies.

After plotting in the cities I want them to trade in and the merchandise I want them to buy and the prices I want them to pay, I set them loose on the world.

When they finish their circuit and return to the city which I created them they deposit the profits and start off again.

While these caravans won't be limited to trade in Towns owned by my faction they will be limited to the same number of Towns I personally own.  So if I own 3 towns I can build 1 caravan in each town.

Why should we do this?  Because I get tired of being on the trade merry go round. Constantly buying and selling is fun when you are broke and own no land but when you've got a kingdom to manage and want to continue to train up your companions it can be a real drag. Sadly, I'm not always in a financial position to set aside trade for other things.
