Stan233,
Good luck.  It's okay to start off modding with less grandiose plans.  We all have to learn as we go.  I have been working on my own soon-to-be released mod since December of last year.  I have gradually added features and OSP stuff, play it for a while, then add a few other things.

Thanks mate! I do have an idea for the mod, but I'll keep it a secret for now, because I don't know when or even if I am going to make it...

Anyways thanks again and good luck with your mod too!

Posted a bugfix. Fixes a bug, when you walk around the streets in a town and the passages for like the castle or the prison are all messed up. Also changes the recruit troops from town button in town menu.

Did you do all these castle fixes yourself or were you able to find fixed castles?  If you did it yourself, great work!  If you found the fix somewhere else, let me know where because I have been looking for it.

First off I meant to say passages, not "entry points", my mistake.  (edited it).

Second and I hope this helps you,  I just moved the code for "Recruit Town Volunteers" from the top of the town menu to the bottom above the leave button, because it was messing up the rest of the code for "Take a walk around the streets". I forgot the rule of coding: to put your own code at the bottom of the existing code...

I hope I didn't confuse you and others with the entry points part and this helped you somehow.

Bump for new idea.

I was thinking entry points.  It seems that the entry points to dungeons and other places can get messed up when the mod allows the player to talk with the guildmaster directly from the menu rather than searching for him in town.  For example, the door next to the prison guard should read "go to dungeon" instead it might take you to the arena, which doesn't exist in a castle.  You end up in an empty field.

I understand that mods using Diplomacy tend to have this problem and I have never seen it in vanilla Warband.  I have searched for a quick fix to this problem but have yet to find it.  I did know about adding new stuff to the bottom of the town or castle menu.

Where is the "Talk to Guildmaster" button situated on the menu, at the bottom, at the top?

I believe it's at the bottom right above "leave."

I will have to see the code to fix it I think. To which code are you refering, to the Deplomacy mod or to your own. If it is to your own I might have a look at it, if you want...

BTW. I think you (like me) meant passages (the places where the player moves from scene to scene, like "Go to castle" or "Enter Dungeon" while "Walking around the streets" in a town or castle) instead of entry points (the places where npcs and general agents spawn)

You are correct.  I think the problem is Diplomacy-related rather than to my own additions.  On second look, I think it was my stuff.  I need to move my castle recruitment down to the bottom.

If your "castle recruitment" is above the "Take a walk around the streets." button that might be the problem.

It was below that but above some other native menu items.  That explains the weird passage issues I have been seeing.  Such a simple thing to screw up (and to fix).  I have it all fixed now.  Thanks for the heads up.  I found another 10 or so threads about the same issue after reading your comments.

Yup np. Glad I could help.

It looks like people voted for you to do what takes the most work!

Hehe yeah it looks so, but I think I can manage that. I will need time tho, I am working alone after all.

PS: And besides I am sure this will spice the things up, although I worry it will be the same like Sword of Democles...

I know how you feel.  Working alone is nice in some ways but a lot of work in other ways.  For me it was nice to have so many knowledgeable and helpful people here at the forums to help me address some of the issues I faced.  Good luck with the mod.  I am looking forward to trying it out.

Thank you for the support. I know you too have an upcoming mod, as soon as you post a download link im trying it out! Good luck!
