I like the idea! The first battle I did made my compy cry out loud for virtual memory though.

Heh yah sorry about the high requirements.

I'm not too sure about making this into a full out mod, largely because its based around riots and the guard. To make it like a full map with Rioters as a faction would be stupid..


Unless...

I could always make the entire map a city. The only problem is that making the battles randomly generated into a city would be extremely hard. I'll have to think on it.

I might also release a "lite" version of this to stop the lag. I.e. remove the huge numbers of men.

Hey I liked it. The numbers made it epic. And My comp could run 20 FPS looking at everyone fighting.

Well get prepared for 60 frames.

I've just made a Lite version, which simply halves the numbers of combatants. Now the tops number of soldiers on the field is something like 100 in the largest battle.

I'm uploading the update now.

I played the first skirmish with full graphics on a 2.4ghz, 2gb ram computer with a decent graphic card and got 40 frames in the middle of ten peasants. Good enough.

You play as them in the last skirmish. So, yes.
I didn't make more because I thought that there was very little strategy and it gets boring after a while as you hack at guards doing 2 dmg.
