Right time to start MY Kingdom?

Okay so I'm currently playing a game as a Khergit. I am at day 560 something, both Swadians and Vaegirs are totally wiped out and Khergits are taking over nord land (Dhirim, Curaw and and like 6 castles so far) While Rhodoks are taking Sarranids which will probably also be wiped off the map since Rhodoks are quite powerful. Anyways, I'm wondering what I should do before I defect and go for my own kingdom.. I'm already working on my right to rule, but what else? Should I train my companions and make them Charismatic? Etcetc.. Cause I have a feeling I have alot of preparing to do. As for me I have 1300 renown, 30 RtR, 130 party size limit. Married to Lady Tibal and have over 7+ with every Khergit lord and 20+ with alot aswell..

So can anyone give me some insight of what to do?

I don't know if you have a lot of fiefs already, but try to be the one conquering castles and town by asking the lords you have good relation with to follow you. Then start asking that every fief you conquered be awarded to you. Try and get these castles / town next to each other as they will be the center of your future kingdom. After a while you will have a lot of fiefs and your Khan will refuse to award a newly conquered castle to you. This is when you revolt! First thing you do when you created your own kingdom is send an emmisary to what ever faction the Khergit were at war with and ask to be recognized as a ruler (They will only recognized you as one if you have a common enemy). Obviously you will be at war with the Khergit now, but if they are already at war with someone else that gives you breathing room.

Also, I was planning my revolt and making sure all was ready and everything before I made my move and the only thing I can say is you have nothing to be scared of! It's not as hard to start as you would think, don't be afraid. At 1200 renown and a 130 army size it will be a breeze to you. Just play smart, try to make peace asap so you have money from enterprises coming in and get everything well manned and ready for the next war. Leave fief unasigned so Lords will want to defect to you and get land.

Good luck =)

I started my own kingdom as early as at day 120. In those 120 days i trained as many mamluks i could, fighted in tournaments and did quests to sarranid king while being mercenary for sarranid. I had luck because now i am at day 250 and i have almost beat all khergits and i am in good terms with sarranid and vaegirs kingdoms. War makes you rich

Thats how i did it. I believe the really is now excatly right time to start own kingdom. When you feel it is time then do it then. I am always afraid that 2 or 3 kingdoms grow too big and then i cant win game anymore.

I think you are ready to start your own kingdom. Nice amount of renown and big party size limit. I would say not to give any charisma to companion because i think companion is best to be used as "elite" soldier in your own army. This is what i think although, your game and your game style

Well I've Taken Ismirala Castle, Curaw, Ryibelet, Senuzdga, and Slezkh, Sanjar Khan likes me and likes to give me all the fiefs.. Darnit

What kind of troops do you have? I use Huscarls for sieges (both sides) and knights for the field, changing them out as needed using a castle.
You will lose a companion to become your, your... can't think of the name but chancellor or something so if you don't have one without necessary party skills start training the others to take one over from somebody. Most of my companions have a single specialty and are warriors second so most I can't lose them.
Other than that you'll need persuasion - companions won't - and to be on good terms with other lords to recruit them. I wouldn't start recuiting until you have some lands to give them. I'm not sure if leaving them unassigned helps recruiting or not but having a few to dole out is best so that they aren't going from a few fiefs to none. Also, release every lord you defeat for a while. This can add up to 10 relations as they will thank you with +5 then might thank you again next time you meet. Some will be pricks and once you are sure who those are capture them and never release them. I kid you not, you can get more relation faster by beating lords and releasing them than doing favors. I try to give lands back to lords that convert after I've taken their fief, not sure if that helps though.
Best advice: back up your files and install the diplomacy mod. This makes handling your lords infinitely easier.

Well as a Khergit I use only khergit troops for Open battles but when I wanna Siege something I go to my castle and just swap out them for Swadian Knights/Sergeants and Vaegir Marksmen/Guards since both factions are eliminated I often recruit them as my siege defenders since Khergits are relatively poor.

Don't be mad, you have high renown so that is normal. Just keep conquering and asking for them castles and the time will come.

i found the easiest way to start your kingdom is to start off as a rebel.

i have to say, it is kind dishonor in a sense because you are playing as a traitor.

by serving your king good with honorable way, some of the lord in ur original faction would have good relationship with u.

I was assigned to be marshal and i took down a town. my king wouldnt give me the town, so i took it with what i had and also that additional town...by that time i already have 3 towns and 1 castle.

Then you will start to receive massive number of men to siege your town by weekly basis, like 1500 ~2200 ,make sure your tactic is lv 10 and u swing madly when your men are blocking the entrance lol

you have to defend it, and eventually, you will see their solider quality become from the top tier to the lowest tier if they cannot siege u you down like after 10 waves.

once you can win them on field, then you can start to go find the lord that might join you, persuade them.

I do not find using those non used NPC companions as lord any good, because their men quality are horrible and low capacity.

after you have done that by taking 1 faction, then u will have sufficient military power to fight with other factions.

i took down swadia by doing that, and i was also prepared from fighting with other factions
