When I needed to learn I found some tutorials on youtube and other places, and figured it out from a number of different places. A nice succinct tutorial would be nice though.
Hmm. I'm a bit lost here. I mean, should I use the skeleton from a already rigged mesh and just delete the actual mesh? As always I cant find the bone "groups" to say, example head, right hand etc. I see if I look at a rigged mesh properties.
In the Sculptris boards, i made a little 4 minute video on how to use bones heat to quickly rig a character in Blender easily :

No idea if it can be fully applied to M&B and Warband, but with the bones that are available in the exporter :

It is possible to rig your character by using those M&B bones in the same way.
I tried with my Ogre model and the little walk animation that is a part of the talesworld exporter worked without a problem for him.

Hmm. Which exporter do I need to use. Smd or the one which taleworlds provided?
Oh and your tutorial was good fieldmedic. I just need to figure out how to do it in blender 2.5 as I'm using it.
Alrighty, I figured out the rigging now. Only problem is the skeleton. It misses some bones when importing. Edit. Well, no problem actually : P Ill try to do the tutorial possibly in the up coming days (:
3rd edit: Soon ready on my first rigg ever. The most difficult part for me are the shoulders. I just can't rigg them well D:
