Rhodok, general talk

G'day fellow Floris players.
I'm around 60 days in my Rhodok playthrough, and thus' far, i've gotten around 40 troops. (50:50 infantry/crossbow), and i'm wondering if anyone has any tips/tricks and or just some opinions they wanna share when playing with the Rhodok Republic.
Also, how do people feel about the Freelancing part of the game? 'Joining a lord's army'
I myself like the idea, and i enjoy it in some degree, but i feel like i miss out on all the early-game and looter-killing business when joining a lord.

I'd join a lord as a freelancer later on when I'm a little more beefed up (say level 10, or greater).

Like you, I enjoy the early-game, so enjoy it.
