A buffer error eh?cdrotte56 said:me it does this and shutdown the game but its not because of a texture.

And it only done me this in sword of damocles 4,1 too.
Rehfeld said:you could use the item editor to alter the seax_dagger entry, Its 571 Seax
just use itemeditor to open up the modules item_kinds1.txt and look for the Seax entry. then change they carry mask mesh for it
replace the scab_seax_dagger with seax_dagger, then just save the file and it should work fine. I added the undead invasion mod for it and didn't run into this problem.
hope that helps

I have a beefy PC myself and SOD also has errors all the time, to the point it is sometimes unplayable. So therefore I can logically deduce they have some screwed up code in Damocles. This is in vista, windows 7 you name it.
The point is Vista isn't the problem, the mod is. I can't run SOD on Windows 7 without errors, not to mention xp or vista. Bashing vista seems to be the popular thing to do when you don't know what the problem is. If you have old tech of course NEW software won't work with it. So far the only game or mod I have EVER had problems with on vista was SOD.Austupaio said:Darkstar707 said:Stop blaming vista. Just because you don't know the problem doesn't mean it's vista. Um, I know what I'm talking about, and I do know what the problem is. Vista gives certain video drivers 2 seconds to respond before ending communication, whereas Nvidia testing gives a driver 5 seconds. See the problem there? If your driver has a larger than usual hiccup, Vista will cause the driver to stop responding, therefore ending your game and being a buzz-kill.
I don't understand why it's a band-wagon to defend Vista, XP is superior in pretty much every way short of being pretty.
On XP, SoD never has errors. On the exact same computer running Vista, SoD will not run, as well as 21 other games I own that run perfectly fine on the XP computer.
