One long, two short, meaning it's a display adaptor/monitor problem. Monitor definitely works, since I can play the ps3 on it.

Anyways, I was playing lol, game was running a bit sluggish so I restarted computer. Windows installed updates and shut down. Then the ****er wouldn't boot. No display on screen, just the post beep thing. Tried replugging the monitor cable, taking the video card out and cleaning it, reseating it etc. Still nothing. Gonna reset CMOS tomorrow. Any other obvious things I can try before I give up and buy a new video card I can't afford?

If you think it is simply the video card try plugging in your monitor through the motherboard (if you have any ports or adapters).

http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm#05 has been helpful for me in the past. Then again, all the trouble I've had have been broken GPU's, forgetting to plug in some cable, faulty RAM sticks and the Motherboard battery running out of power

Also, if you conclude that it is indeed your GPU (possibly by nicking the one from Dicks computer), there's always: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,104150.msg2583147.html#msg2583147
